"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Well, not really, but this is just an observation.

A few months back a hottie, about an HB8 approached me at a bar and we talked. Great, but she had to leave as she was going out with her friend.

A few weeks later, I met her again, so I approached. Good convo again, so I asked for her number - she wouldn't give me it, but she insisted I give her mine.

Not expecting that she would ever call, I said, what the hell. Of course, you know, she didn't call. I bumped into her several times after that, had pleasant conversation, but NEVER mentioned or asked why she didn't call. I remained aloof, detached, but friendly, like I didn't really care.

Fast forward to this weekend, I see her, start a convo, she pushes her phone number on me and insists we go out.

Thoughts? I'm thinking she had a relationship that she was trying to get out of.

At any rate, I think I played it right by just going on about my business and not acting affected by it at all.

A year ago, before this site, I think I would've played this scenario all wrong.

I think when I say I was persistent, I remained persistantly true to the teachings on here and it worked out for me.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

You're probably right. You're gonna be rebound material.

My advice is to do this for the sex. Respect and admiration are things that you should not give this girl.

The key was you had the courage to live in your NOW soildier. Too many dudes act like a A-hole after being rejected. You dont know what was going on in her life during the NOW you met her. Maybe she wasnt sure about you then, or any other reasons. The master soildier is a soildier all the time. Too many cats mess up in thinking thier good moments are stored in a bank and will override any thing they are doint NOW. They arent, the Past is written in stone. Living in the Now means you can changer your NOW at any given moment. So a woman that didnt feel you yesturday, will feel you today, as long as you can keep being great every moment you can.

It's so true. Yeah, I could be rebound material, or maybe she's just f*cked.

But the more I'm gaining experience, the more I'm figuring this stuff out. I didn't hate on her or anything because of a rejection, I just rolled with the punches. I honestly didn't think about her that much and then she suddenly does an about face.

Other guys might turn into an instant arsehole, but if you just roll with it and play it cool, you are definitely better off - not only with her but also any of her hot friends.

You are 1000% right on this. The reason this is so is because you manned-up and acted like a real man. A boy goes back into his shell after he is rejected. Just like men test women, women test men. You passed with flying coloers. Congrats.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Cheers for the support. This is important stuff, I just kept on talking to her in a cordial, friendly manner. I didn't wait around on it either, I moved on and worked on other women.

And you know what, she even apologised for not giving me her number way back when and also for not calling.

Based on the limited information you described, it sounds like when you asked for her number, you "seeded" her. At the instant you asked for her number, she wasn't sure about you. Fortunately, you gave her space - especially not asking why she didn't call - and you didn't ask her out again.

Thereafter, she probably spent the last few weeks "thinking" about you and each encounter you had with her where you held off your neediness. The more she thought about you, the more she liked you.

In a similar situation to yours, I originally asked a chick out and originally she started off interested but I f*cked it up at the end and she eventually made up some excuse to reject my offer. After detatching myself from her over the next several weeks, she did a complete 180 and asked if I was still interested in going out.

BTW, not all chicks are aggressive as her. Some would still expect you to make the move again even though their interest level in you has increased.

When you go out with her, make sure she's not an AW and you're not being set up as the rebound.
