"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Whoa...my reality is shattered. Not sure if it was the best sarge of my life or the worst...

I went out on the town tonight in a giant black furry pimp-style hat, grayish-clear sunglasses, and a billowy white pirate shirt.

I was opened, conservatively, 50 times. Guys, girls, it didn't matter. I even had one girl run me down across the bar to open me and talk to me. More girls said something to me tonight than the entire 24 years of my life put together in about two hours. My reality was past that of a SHB10. Seriously, it felt like I was a ****in celebrity. Guys, girls, all pawing at me, it was an alternate universe because of one $20 hat. People totally dug the hat, all positive, except one club that wouldn't let me in.

Now comes the bad part...none of these openers went ANYWHERE...they would say "I love your hat" or "nice hat" and it died in the water. I danced with exactly one girl tonight in two hours...my usual reality is 5-7 in a two hour session. No numbers, one brief kiss in the lineup. That was it. It was like I was a comfortable sideshow, but not a real man...not sure if I gamed poorly or was incongruent or if I was just way outside of their reality and they didnt see me as a human being.

Just an odd sarge. Totally different from ANYTHING I have ever experienced.

I need advice. How should I respond to these comments? How should I take these comments or the "I want to wear your hat" and get them into an actual set...

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Thats because you don't have the personality or 'game' to back up the peacocking.

A cold assessment, but likely true. I think I became incongruent over the course of the night...didn't maintain my persona when I was opened.

I kind of let my gear try to do all the talking, and my state got ****ed up. I never was able to lead the openers into actual sets. I think the whole massive reality shift just was more than I was ready for.

Man, it is a trip though. Never had an experience like that. I think if I refine it, it could be a powerhouse approach.

Thinking you would need any kind of 'peacocking' to be successful with women comes from the frame of a very insecure personality.

Stop this unless you would also like to wear those clothes at places where no women are cause you personally enjoy wearing them.

You think clothes will help you or you even need them? The next is you will need a great sports car, then comes a great house, last step will be that you need to have your guru next to you 24h/day unless you can get active.

STOP THIS.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Ya know, I can understand that, and yes, part of me was looking at peacocking as a quick fix.

However, bottom line was that I did have a lot of fun doing it, and I enjoyed myself even though I didn't pull. It was a totally new experience in my life.

It also had obvious potential. A solid 8 literally ran me down halfway across the bar to open me because "she was impressed at how bold you have to be to wear something like that". Stuff like that only happens to celebrities. Not even model-attractive guys get that type of thing.

I wasn't ready for the new reality. I had peacocked before and I pulled a girl who opened me on a different hat last weekend. However, this getup was my previous gear to the 10000th power in terms of AIs and openers. My reality quickly became that of a SHB10 and I blew tons of chances because I would literally keep walking when a HB would open me. I just wasn't ready for the reactions I got.

Once I practice more solid game, I will be ready for it next time, and even if you don't pull, its damn fun. I recommend everyone try it if only for that reason.
