"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Online dating as a coping mechanism until the "break" is over?

I often wonder if the vast majority of women are using online dating as a coping mechanism of a recent break up until they get back together with the ex.

You know how some women have this on again, off again relationship with said boyfriend and in her "off" period she goes on a string of serial dates...then...the ex contacts her, the reconnect, and she dumps all HER plates?

I think this is very common with online dating because I recall a woman that went through a break-up with a guy...and she was on her lunch break creating a dating profile. She had it up, temporarily, until I saw her boyfriend come back into the picture a week later.

Of course, the profile is now collecting cyberdust, but I find this to be a common thing among women online. I think they use it as more of a coping mechanism if anything for attention until they get back together with an on/off again ex. Yes?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Oh I absolutely agree with this.

The amount of baggage you'll find from women on online dating would shut down JFK airport...permanently.

it actually could be that they break up and she goes to OLD to legit start to date, and realizes that, not only does she have to field all these random men, but, if she finds one, she has to start the getting-to-know you process all over again. She decides to go back to the ex b/c finding someone new is more work then going back to someone known.

VERY good point. Going back to the ex is an act of desperation, but this is true....why get to know someone new, when you could stick around with someone you're familiar with?

I have read that women who try not to be wh*res, will not easily allow new men into her bed, so it is easier to get back with an ex.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
