"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Hi guys! Let me introduce myself... I live in London, UK and am in a vLTR (9+ years!). I guess that I have AFC status compared to you guys, but I am generally considered to be a successful player by my peers. I usually have fairly good success with PU's in bars and clubs but have not done much street PU. Due to my vLTR and having recently been busted about several of my "affairs", (hence my user name ), my opportunities for night sarging are few and far between. So after spending a couple of weeks studying lots of PUA material (such as SS, GWM, MM, the game) and reading these forums being inspired by posts by guys like Shezz etc, i decided to get away from the keyboard and get out to attempt some street PU...

This is my most interesting approach so far, I'd be keen to get some feedback from some of you pros out there:

10/11/06

1630hrs
Entered a large chemists/cosmetics store and saw target (HB9 and maybe aged 20-23) with an obstacle, who was perhaps a 5 or 6 tops. Obstacle kept chatting with target, so I loitered (pretending I was looking at aftershaves), waiting for my opportunity. Obstacle finally had to talk to some customers so I moved in on target while self anchoring (a technique which i think I invented myself, heh! A subject for another post).
DL: “Hi, do you work in the fragrances (or cosmetics??) department?
HB9: “yes”
“Do you deal with the mens fragrances or the womens?
HB9: “I deal with both” In case she said "womens", I would have said I wanted something for my sister ;)
DL: “Can you help me select a couple of fragrances for myself?
HB9: “Sure”
She asked “who is it for?”, I said “myself” - wasn’t she listening?!
Anyway, she demos several fragrances, and we have some fluff talk for 5-6 minutes about them. I keep looking around to make sure the obstacle and some annoying customers are out of earshot. Suddenly I see that it is all clear:
DL: “Can I tell you something? I think that you are ….absolutely…..long pause (she’s looking at me intently)…stunning…” (I got this from RJ's SS) I say this mega smooth- maintaining EC. in fact it was so smooth and said so confidently said that she could have just melted into my hands!
She says “Oh, thank you!”, and laughs and blushes and looks away, and seeming to be very flattered. She seemed also surprised like she was really wondering what I was going to say to her.
DL: “My name is DL”
She just looks at me for a while and says “I am HB9” I shake her hand smoothly and say “Nice to meet you. Where is that name from, it sounds unusual?”
HB9: “Its from Turkey”
DL: “Oh really, which part?”
HB9 “Cyprus”
DL: Oh, that’s interesting, I’ve never met anyone from northern Cyprus. Most Cypriots here are from the greek side. So how do you find it here working in Basildon?
HB9: You mean Thurrock? Yeah its ok (or something)
DL: Oh yeah, sorry, I meant Thurrock! (Doh! - I had been earlier trying to sarge in a place called Basildon!) Where are you from?
HB9: Rainham
DL: “Oh no, you’re not a rainham girl! I can’t even talk to you now!” (turning away slightly ). [Thanks to Shezz for this one  . I don’t know anything about rainham girls, but it is in essex anyway, lol!]
HB9: What? Huh!?
DL: I’ve heard all about you Rainham girls
HB9: Oh, I’m not one of them! i have absolutely nothing to do with them.
DL: “Heh ok, maybe I can continue talking to you. You, know, Thurrock is an interesting place, I just saw two girls fighting each other outside..."
HB9: “Classy”
DL: “...They were fighting over a guy... Its one thing fighting over Brad Pitt or someone, but this guy looked more like humpty dumpty!” (thanks to Shezz again!) HB9 laughs.
DL: "I have an intuition about you." She looks curious. " I think you’re a creative person." (I was attempting some cold reading which I was planning to lead into a SS IC pattern)
HB9: Yes, I studied art and design at art college
DL: And I suspect you find it difficult to express your creativity
HB9: Yes, in here I do
At this point some other staff from the store are staring at us from a distance, making HB9 a bit nervous. So I have to close before they come over.
DL: Well I don’t want to keep hassling you taking up your time, I know you gotta work
HB9: Yeah, my manager behind you is watching us
DL: Its been nice talking to someone who seems so cool and classy, maybe we can meet up sometime afterwards?
HB9 (smiling and blushing) I’m sorry, I can’t, I have a BF, I really do. We’ve been going out for 4 years.
DL: Well that’s nice, he will give you something to do when you’re not with me ." [ :D I can't remember who I got that one from]
HB9: Laughs a bit and says, "Sorry I’m not that kind of girl"
DL: Hey, I’m just joking. Well I better get going, nice to meet you. (I shake her hand again)
HB9: So are you’re not gonna buy one (aftershave) now?
DL: I’ll think about those two you recommended, and I’ll return when I’ve decided. Have a nice weekend
HB9: Ok, thanks same to you, we shake hands and I bounce.

I have to say that I needed some serious balls to do this, but I got a major buzz after I walked out of there, even though I failed. Is it worth returning to her? That canned material went down pretty well, so thanks for you guys for the inspiration. I'm also thinking of putting a journal online somewhere to document my progress (any ideas where?)

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

You're in a Long Term Relationship and you're trying to pickup on the side? That's lame dude. I give you ZERO props for anything you've done. If you're not happy with your girlfriend break up with her, but don't do **** like that which can really **** up a person's mind/feelings.

I'm all for using these techniques if you're single, but I don't believe in doing things that will cause someone a lot of pain and sadness. THat's not the game a DJ plays.

I appreciate your input and opinion Bussey, but my situation is not as straightfoward as I may have implied. I can pm you the details if you wish, but I think the details of my complex relationship are probably for another forum. but that asides, how do you rate my approach?

ridiculous....i did the same exact kind of approach months ago, i hit on a 28 year old russian married woman, and she told me things such as "ur so handsome" and "ur so funny"........how did it start???? I wanted change so i could get one of those 25cent mints from a machine lol, and this was ALSO in a fragranace section............doesnt it suck that the best approaches end up in "i have a bf"? (or in my case, "i am married") lol

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
