"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

first i want to say this site has literally changed my life as well as my perspective on the whole female stuff, the site is very informative and the veterans are very helpful
i like to see more "life articles" and yeah this site needs more articles on success IMAO, i hope writing this post will get some of the more knowledgeable folk to write a few words on it...

"why are women so unreachable"
"***** is too expensive in our age"
what do successful people do? is talent such an important thing? why do we look for female approval all the time?how do i stop being a wreck?
i read all the articles but still no quality *****?all i get are fat hags......

you are not alone, especially in that last sentence...i've struggled with women and life and still do so...i nearly committed suicide due to a BPD girl......so we are in the same boat :)

i want to discuss a pattern that ive seen in successful people, and by successful i don't mean the average PUA picking up slvts on a saturday night, i mean REALLY successful like ab lincoln, alexander the great, Pavarotti and edison...

what are the traits that produce success? we hear consultants and professors shout:

positive thinking!
hardwork!
practice!
confidence!
social skills!
women!
all of the above are cliche,i know them, you know them, hell i knew these things in my AFC days,so why aren't we successful? well bcuz we are wrong...these are all nice and dandy for an academic but let's cut the bvll...real success has got to do with methods rather than traits

1."knowledge without application is like masturbation--it is fruitless"

Apply your knowledge! many people have read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" in their teens, however how many of these people will acually use the techniques described in the book? i tell you, very few--- most people will just read it for the sake of reading and that's it...the book goes into the attic, forever forgotten.

so apply your knowledge... naughtyninja has an excellent article about online dating, however how many members are actually applying his ideas? very few...most people tend to discuss and analyze his methods rather than to apply them.

so : Apply your knowledge

2."the greatest battle of a man,is his struggle against his own ego"

the gym is a man builder IMO, i have learned more in the gym than i ever did at school

i don't have a lot of lifting experience, been lifting for 4 months maybe, but in this time i have observed something interesting: Ego fvcks success ....really bad

a new guy comes in, starts doing some quarter bench press with 200lbs...
he KNOWS that it's too heavy...he KNOWS he won't get results like this...alas the EGO won't let him go,like a leech it saps him of all reason and logic

a sports doctor trains at my gym, i thought "he might be well informed about training", i saw him doing half squats of 180lbs...with extremely bad form such that even a beginner like me could notice...what keeps him from lowering the weight and doing full squats? EGO

everyone knows me at the gym, since i have a "must know everyone" mantra in my head(more on that later).. anyway everyone knows that switch is a noob, i started with an empty barbell...girls were laughing at me,here was an overweight walrus doing empty bar-squats......
but one day, they saw switch doing heavy full squats...
" oh!!! holy mary! switch the noob is squatting more than i do!!--- I must do the same to save my fragile ego", squat they did...more like half squats with bad form and lots of pain ...they soon realized ,that weight was my warmup set.....
another guy asked me "switch, when you came here you were a walrus...now you are getting defined, wtf is happening? steroids?"
i told him one thing "i defeated my ego" that's all, if you just APPLY this motto, you will see wonders as i did...

how do we defeat our ego? 1. focus on your weakness instead of strength, 2.ask for help

this line sums it all... "everyman i meet is my superior,in that i learn of him"

let us observe the AFC switch who was afraid of water ....
AFC switch,:"...i can't swim, if i ask someone to teach me i will feel inferior, im ashamed of the kiddies who swim in the pool whereas i have to walk like a walrus...hell even a walrus know how to swim, i will not go to a pool because i don't wanna feel inferior"
-
-----"oh im scared of water...i wish all the water on earth would just dissapear...i hate all the swimmers and triathletes"

^see? i was protecting my fragile ego against preschoolers...AFC indeed"
try replacing "water"with "women" and replace 'swimmer" with jerk and triathlete with "player"...you get the picture
now let's see a switch determined to defeat his ego

Switch : to a girl "hi i can't swim can you teach me anything?"
to instructor " can you please criticize my form and stroke? tell me my weak points"
to a random stranger " hi, i'm a newbie can you teach me how to float?

in 2 months i hear my instructor saying to his wife (they are both instructors) : that boy, switch, its just amazing ,i can't believe that he is still the same guy as two months ago, he's physically challenged but got the smoothest stroke ive ever seen.."
so "defeat your ego and you will go far-- break your ego before it is broken by others"

if anyone is interested i'll write part two as well....please note that i may be wrong , if so please let me know, i would appreciate it as it will help me to improve myself :)

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
