"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

My GF and I have ben together for 5 years, and she's been hardcore bipolar after our son was born, and I know that's natural.

How our reltionship presntly works is this....

When we fight, we don't speak to each other, or see each other for weeks, then we make up, things are back to loving and caring etc. ...then almost like clock work, she starts to try to pull the "I wear the pants" crap, for which I snuff out quick, and that frustrates her, and we fight again, and the thing repeats itself over and over.... fight, makeup, hugs & kisses, "pants", foot down, back to fighting.

When she would pull this crap at the beginning of our relationship, I'd just say, "Keep it up, you're not the only fish in the pond." and that would usually shut her up, but now, we have a kid, and I'm close with her family, and if I were to say that, I'd have a pissed off father-inlaw after my a$$.

Anyone else in a familar situation? I could really use some help from my fellow man.

One more thing... before we go weeks without talking to each other, she'll usually break up with me. It's so stupid now, I just laugh. The last time this happend (two days ago) I said "You're right, we don't deserve each other." for which she replied "You deserve someone better than me.... I told you before, once our relationship is over, that's it... I have no interest being with anyone else." for which I replied "We both are entitled to be happy... date who you feel will do that, as I will too."

I told myself that the next time this happends, I'd let her go....

She's 7 years younger than me... she just turned 30.
Again, thank you for any suggestions or help.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Don't wait until the next time it happens, you need to end it now. There are many intelligent and emotionally stable women out there, you need to get your stuff together and go find one.

If you are that close with her parents, sit them down and lay it all out on the line, tell them it's not working out, etc. Just make sure you try to work it out so your son doesn't end up with the short end of the stick.

Personally, I would of gotten off that emotional roller coaster a long time ago.

Thank you for taking the time to reply... your suggestion is being considered right now.

I don't think she was bipolar or had these mental problems after the pregnancy, I think there were problems way before then that was never sorted out.

Thank you... I have to wonder.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Remember, no matter what you go through in your life, you ALWAYS have to look out for yourself first!! I'm not going to rag on you, but I do have to question your thought process in marrying a mentally unstable woman. Even if you didn't know she was bi-polar or whatever she is, the fact that she treats you and your relationship like utter garbage should be enough of a glaring red flag to walk away.

7 years isn't THAT BIG of an age gap, but its enough to allure you to a younger woman, who at the time seems like the perfect fit. You've finally started thinking about yourself as the #1 priority in your life, the only problem is your about 3 years late. If that isn't enough you have a child with this woman. If you raise your child in this type of environment, where arguing is the norm, the chances of he/she growing up to be a little "off" are pretty high.

Do what's best for YOU and your child, not for this woman who clearly is incapable of having a mature relationship.

Thanks for replying Pimp... just for the record, we're not married, and we do not live together. When we're not fighting, I'll spend weekends at her house. When we are fighting, I'll drop by to pick up my son and he stays with me on weekends.

As far as treating our relationship as "utter garbage", she doesn't. She has told me she's not sure what is wrong with her, but she hates herself for being the way she is to me sometimes.

I dunno what it is either.. but I do know I'm done with it.
