"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Well it's been a few months since I've had to ask for your help :D

I've been with this girl for nearly 6 months, she is respectful, able to stimulate my mind and more  plus she makes me laugh.

But tonight she wasn't on form.

She drunk too much:
Empty stomach, lack of sleep plus she had been working on her studies all week and this has been her one night out with her friends... badddd combo.
She also went crazy for me when she finally saw me, as I met up with her late in the night in a club, as I was hanging out with my friends in another town.

Cut to the chase, I ended up taking her home, she was very apologetic, even saying I'm being too nice and that she's worried I'll dump her:nono: because she has f**ked up and so on... I kept silent and just kept comforting her in my arms.

So I tried to be assertive, saying she had been bad but that I wanted her to get better and that she is a lucky girl. She kept asking if I was angry, I wasn't but she kept asking, so I told her to shhhh!

I gave my time out to look after her and take her to her home, no sex!

SO what do I do now? Obviously she is going to feel really bad, but I need to be assertive and let her know I care but at the same time, let her know its not acceptable. :nono:

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I don't understand, what is the big deal about her getting drunk once in a while? Unless she misbehaved badly when she was drunk, what is the problem?

She should be allowed a night out with her friends every now and then, just like you should.

Just teasing her about it a little bit would probably do the trick. It would be a subtle, light rebuke.

You just don't want to have to take care of her all the time because
1) it would get old
and
2) she would start to respect you less for being so nice

tease her about her high alcohol tolerance or her wild drunken gimmicks or whatever

Am I missing something here?

Some is not fitting well here...

Something is definitely not fitting well here...

The bigger problem here is WTF WERE SHE DOING drinking mad amounts without you around?

Still, from what you provided, there is still too little information to make any decision, but if I were in your shoes I would be with my ears wide fvckin open, talking as little as I could and observing her behavior like a maniac to see any clues of what happened while you were not around.

I am sure that if nothing relevant happened you'll be able to see that in her behavior. The opposite is also true.

And while we're at it, that's exactly the way you tell her it's not acceptable: by not accepting it. You sure want to help your girl, but you do no good in verbally trying to comfort her when she does such a thing... you do what has to be done and after she is sane again she'll surely try to explain herself. Well, that considering she remembers anything... but if she doesn't... damn, someone does not fits well.

She's apologised twice in a txt, I haven't replied. I feel like just forgetting about it right now. Good tips, I will tease her a little next time she's with me.

djbr, I'm not so suspicious but thanks for mentioning that possibility. She can remember how many drinks she had and who she had talked to.

It's just one of those annoying situations, I think her friend is jealous of her and got her drunk, what a b*tch!!

I guess I was too affected by it all last night and needed to write it all down. Thanks guys

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

it doesnt seem like a big deal dude. I mean, the texts are a dead giveaway that what you think of her matters a whole lot to her, and frankly, I think that you should respond to texts from a girl you have spent the last 6 months with. The rules change in a LTR. That not saying that you should take disrespect, but try to keep it in proportion.

Everyone screws up every now and then, cut her some slack. You have never gotten a little too drunk?
