It's really disillusioning to see that people whose feedback you value are completely asinine.
Not sure if you're talking about me, but this place has always been about self-improvement and learning to me. I've been a bit goofy since the ending of my marriage and really do want to fix the issues that it has left me with. It's going to take time, patience, and experience.

The people who's feedback you truly value are human. They're allowed to make their own mistakes and fall on their face once in a while. Everyone's allowed to do that. If they really are worth their feedback, you will let them continue to learn their own lessons in life so that they may pass on their insight to you.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I'm not fishing for an apology or an explanation. Nor am I trying to draw this thing out. It was just a gut reaction to what I read in your OP.
