"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Ok guys, I've been trying to meet girls online and for me, I've only met up with 2 girls in my life that I met online. So a chic online hit me up. We sent a few emails back and forth, her picture was cute, she seemed like a nice girl. I don't believe in wasting a whole bunch of time emailing back and forth and think you have to quickly move it to the phone, and after that try to get to meeting her in public asap. So I suggested that we talk on the phone and she sent me her number last night.

I called her about an hour ago and it started off awkward because I caught her in the middle of something while she had company(hate that!) so she said she'd call me back in 10 mins and she did. The conversation was "ok" I guess, we talked for maybe 20 mins. Nothing bad really happened, but definately no fireworks either. I didn't feel that instant conversational chemistry. You know, where things just sort of flow and its really fun and you aren't sitting there thinking of what you are going to say next with awkward pauses. It got like that a couple times with her. It was just getting to know you crap, where do you live? What do you do? yada yada. I found it hard to throw in some C+F and bust on her to make it interesting because it seemed like there were few opportunities to use it. So when the conversation was at the end, she didn't say, "well, give me a call or, I'll call you", she said, "I'll talk to you later." I'm not sure I even want to call.

So here's what I want to ask you Don Juans and aspiring Don Juans. When you meet a girl online and take it to step two, getting a girl off email and onto the phone. What do you do to maximize your chances of taking it to step 3, which is getting her to meet you? I swear, when you pick up that phone for the first time and call, you just have no idea what's going to be on the other end.

I also met a second girl online that I will be talking to soon on the phone, so hopefully, I'll get some better chemistry with the next one.

So guys, let's talk about the things you should be doing on that first conversation to spark more interest and attraction.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I usually use the phone to set up dates. Casually suggest that she join in doing an activity with you, so that if she says 'no', you can still do the activity anyway.

Save the conversation for the date and keep the phone talk light and playful.

I just use myspace to keep track of girls I've already met in real life.. not find new ones. I'd rather meet a girl in real life, first impressions are extremely important... and if their first impression of you is that you're a guy that's looking for love on the internet, you're probably not so smooth in real life. But I guess that all depends on how your page is structured.

A couple of years ago, I met a girl on myspace and went through the motions like you've described. She was probably a 6. Cute and with a decent body, but definitely not hot. We started corresponding with messages, then I got her number and we talked on the phone like once or twice before we set up a time to meet. She was 2 years younger than me, and I had just broken up with a long-term girlfriend of 3 years. She and I jumped into a relationship right away, I took her virginity....and like a month after we started going out I dumped her because I was having sex with my ex regularly and didn't feel like it was right to be in a relationship with someone and cheating on them. But ever since, I've still been in touch with the girl and she's pretty cool... I just know I can do better.
