So, I am supposed to be meeting a chick I started communicating with from Match in the very near future. I am looking for some advice on how to psychologically handle it.

Here a little background: We have been in communication for about 3 months. First month was mainly E-Mails every few days and then the last few months have been phone once a week or so. We have had some long conversations on the phone, but I try to not go much past a 1/2 hour-hour. We definitely click really well on the phone and have a good time. Based on pics we have seen of each other, we are attracted to each other. We are about 4 hours apart so thas why we haven't met as of yet.

I am just asking for advice on how to go about handling the psychological aspect of meeting this girl. I am going to be really nervous and I am tryin to temper my expectations of what to expect, but I don't know. Anyone go through something like this that can help me prepare for what to expect?

Thanks

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I hate to say this but you may have backed yourself into a corner since you waited so long to meet this woman. Why the long wait anyway?

The problem is that women have extremely active imaginations; the longer they are left to set their own imagined expectations, the wilder they seem to be. Your job (if you choose to accept it) is to fulfill those expectations (whatever they may be). Hopefully during all your emails and phone conversations you were able to somewhat contain her expectation so that the meeting will be more realistic and based less on her fantasy.

My suggestion is to be your natural self but put forth a little more effort to show your true personality. Will it match up to her expectations? Possibly if she hasn't set a bunch of romanticized expectations before meeting you. This is why it's important to have a face to face meeting with someone you've met online rather than spending the majority of time exchanging emails or phone calls.

My advice is to first, get new numbers before you meet her.

And, go to have fun.
