Wonder if that modeled the defense that Mayweather Sr. is teaching Hatton?

I think Hatton will get it in a KO. People have a distorted perception of Manny based on his recent win over a very washed up, and anemic has-been boxer. Whereas Hatton gave a very respectable performance over arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in modern day (assuming you don't believe the retirement claim).

I think Manny is peaking as a figher meaning he is at his best. At first I thought he'd handle Hatton with no problem, but Hatton is back to his natural weight where he fights best. So Ricky is definitely a live dog Should be interesting...

I'd bet Pac by TKO

Please. Manny hasn't even beaten Marquez yet, Mayweather will crush him.

Floyd is among the best I've ever seen, but he's interested in money more than boxing greatness. Pacquiao and Marquez are the easiest 1 and 2 P4P combo in recent history for him to beat, so he's coming back for the easy fights and big paydays. Lots of money, big name opponents, at little risk. It's sad to see.

Contrast this with a true great like Shane Mosley, who turned down a mega payday against Oscar to fight Winky Wright, the most avoided fighter of the time, for about 1/5th of the money. He takes IMMEDIATE rematches with the two men who dominated him: Forrest and Wright. He fights Margarito at a point where most consider it to be a death sentence.

Mosley would beat Floyd today. So would Williams, but to be fair, the size difference is unfair between them. Floyd would beat Cotto convincingly.

As for tomorrow's bout, Pacquiao should win by late-round tko. Hatton is too simple, even with Sr's help. Pac throws with much greater volume, albeit less power, than Mayweather did.

I've covered this bout on numerous betting forums, to sum, I've put sizable wagers on this bout NOT going the distance -150, and Hatton winning +225

Show of hands, who's goin to the fight?
...
Just me? What a drag ;)

I'm intrested in the fight, and I'm just as interested in the several thousand dollars I'm going to make on the after parties!

I'm suprise both of your vaginas hurt so bad because of my good fortune!

I'm joking of course. Look I'm just saying that because of my location and positioning I get the benefit of lucrative opportunity in addition to seeing your pugalistic sporting events. If you need to know who I think is going to win the fight so bad, I'm thinking pac man takes Hatton in the 7th round. Hatton hasn't been happy with Floyd Sr. as of recent. He's shown up to training late (Mayweather) and hasn't pushed Hatton all that hard according to him. I have SOME money riding on that (1000 dollars) but it's for show since I have tables reserved at several of the night clubs with after parties and clients already booked regardless of who wins.

It's tough times these days with this down economy so I'm very happy to have some high rollers who are willing to part with their wallets for a change! Woooo hoooo money!!!!!

I'm happy for Pacquiao. I don't know much about him or even seen him fight but I read an article about him which talked about he how has given about half his fortune to poor people in his country. The guy goes around giving money to the poor literally. Can't help but root for such a man.

Jesus, Pac-man is eating up fighters!

Now we have Mayweather V Marquez in one for the boxing purists, then of course, the mega-fight, with Floyds ego wanting to reclaim that P4P king title that Pac now owns!

It's funny, most people on most boxing forums were saying he had no chance of beating Floyd, now all of a sudden, the vast majority think he will retire Floyd, funny how a great outing can make perceptions change as fast as the wind.

I personally think he would give Floyd a lot of problems, with his speed, southpaw stance, but particularly unorthadox punching (we all saw the first two, speed and southpaw stance, gave Mayweather trouble in Judah), so add in the last one, punches from weird angles, such as Corley landed, and you could see Mayweather having troubles applying his defence so effectively.

That being said, Mayweather is a great boxer, a great general, so he should be able to control the pace of most rounds, ala Juan Marquez, along with that great timed right hand, which Marquez used so effectively to make Manny think twice about coming in.

So all that said, I would probably favour Mayweather to edge Pac, but a knockout either way can never be ruled out of the equation.

Money vs Manny is never gonna happen because Marquez will knock him out. Which I don't like to happen because I want Manny to knock Mayweather out. Let's face it. The fighters Money Mayweather beat, the PacMan can beat twice as fast. You just have to understand that Barrera, Morales and Marquez are no joke fighters. If you think these three Mexicans are not one of the best then I don't know what kind of fighters you think are great. I say this because people always go back to Pacquiao's fights with these guys and say hey he's not great he's just lucky. Morales was old. Marquez won. etc. These are great Mexican fighters that Manny put on the canvass for a total of 10 knockdowns. PacMan is for real. I love boxing. I watch every fight on every channel and I have to say that most of the fighters today put me to sleep. Two reasons. Speed and power. Most fighters I see are slow and weak. With Pacquiao you know someone's going to hit the canvass. That goes with Floyd too.

Oscar and Hatton are two notable fighters in Floyd's resume. Pacquiao beat them black and blue. Baldomir, Judah, Gatti and the rest? Paman would eat them all up at 140. I want to see Pacquiao vs. Cotto.

Thankgod I parked at Mandalay Bay for this fight. Two minutes fight vs two hours exit! Anyway Pac Man is like Mini-me-tyson. Why the hell would you try to soak up those full body shots with your face?. Hatton had to be taken to the Hospital after the fight. Somehow we saw him the next day drinking Guiness like a champ...or chump...whatever. I'm glad this one turned out better then the Pac DLH fight though. I think the english saw their boy get knocked out and it acted as a collective knock out because non of the hooligans wanted to fight like the la raza did after DeLahoya got his.

I'm putting more money down for the next Pacquio fight definately! That man has style!

First point, styles make fights. So what if Manny beat them easier and quicker, so did Hearns to common Leonard opponents, what happened when they met?

Second point, Castillo and Corrales. The best at super-feather and light at the time.

Yeah good points Gaucho. Plus I don't think the same Oscar fought Manny that fought Mayweather just like the same Hatton didn't fight Pac that fought Mayweather. Still I give Pac all the credit in the world because both fights exceeded expectations.

I think the JMM vs Mayweather fight will be a good indicator of where Mayweather stands. Lets see if he can do better than Pac did against him...
