I screwed up last night. I was out at the club, having a good time -- a little buzzed but not incoherent. There were a few hotties there. One of them was the first 8.5 or 9 I've seen in a long time. I tried talking to this Chick #1 but she was very standoffish, and she walked away. So, I moved on and this other girl Chick #2 approached me -- we started dancing and making out. Chick #2 wasn't nearly as attractive. She might have been a 5 at best, but it was the only available option I had at that particular time and place.
I found out over the course of the night that Chick #1 and Chick #2 are roommates (along with 2 other girls). At the end of the night we all met up at a diner, and I found out Chick #1 (the hottie) is only standoffish since she's shy. She had a good personality and was single.
This puts me in an unfortunate situation. I don't want to date Chick #2 (the 5) as I'm just not attracted to her. I really want to ask out Chick #1, but I don't know what to do to overcome girls watching out for their friends. Between the two friends, Chick #2 would likely get first dibs on me, and Chick #1 would respect that.
Do you think this is a reasonable concern, should I just ask Chick #1 out, or do I need to venture differently? Is there a way I can leverage Chick #2's interest in me to get with Chick #1? I have Chick #2's number but not Chick #1's (though I could facebook message her)
Oh and don't tell me 'next' -- this Chick #1 is the first good looking, local, single girl I've met in a long time and if I 'next' her it might take me a long time to meet someone else. <i.e. there are not plenty of fish in this sea>
