MADDEN or 2K5

I own both games. I like the defense on Madden better than 2k5. On the other hand I like the offense better on 2k5....except for the running game. The passing game on 2k5 is so much more realistic it seems. Recievers look for the ball and will go up and make a catch not just stick their hands straight out.

On the running game... it seems MADDEN has the edge because you can see the linemen make the blocks exc. However.....the running backs on 2k5 make more realistic moves...like if their trying to gain a yard they will burrow their head down and follow the lineman.

Defense....MADDEN wins this because theres a lot more oyu can do on it. HOWever once again in 2k5 defenders make more realistic moves say a defender goes up for an interception on 2k5 soemtimes the ball will almost go through his hands so he cradles it as he's coming down with it. In Madden its usually the same type of catch on each play.

The presentation is hands down better in 2k5 since you have a half time show followed by the post game show.

Over all I have to go with 2k5 the games just seem to be more realistic when playing someone else, exc.

EA anounnced that they bought the NFL license for the next 5 years so MADDEN will be the only NFL video game. Nomore 2k series, exc.

I haven't played either, but based on your description alone I'd say Madden. Substance over style.

I don't play much anymore, but Madden 2005's radio feature was pretty cool.

I liked that song by Jurassic Five.

Actually I read today that EA and ESPN have decided on some contract on 15 year deal. EA will be the sole owner but they will use the ESPN presentation....look for the combo to begin in 2006.
