Let go of the people you love. Let go of the things that bring you joy. Let go of everything but your memories, and just sit there for awhile. Picture yourself in a bright green field, alone, and without worry. Look around, feel the fresh air. Feel the warm summer breeze. Feel the bright sun warm your skin. Gaze at the endless miles of grass. There is nothing to hear, nothing to look at, nothing but the wavy fields. There is nothing to feel, nothing to love, nothing but the warm sun and the clouds that dot the sky. There is nothing at all; just you, in a field, with nothing to lose and nothing to gain. Now look at yourself real closely. Look at that grass, look at that field. You’ll see everything that you ever wanted. You’ll see your entire life. You’ll see nothing. And for the first time; you’ll feel eternal bliss.
What is heaven, some may ask? It’s an endless second. It’s the moment of death that lasts forever. It’s the only moment when you truly let go of everything. For some (and most), this could also be hell, especially for the people who are, in a way, dead already. Just don’t let yourself give in, and don’t be afraid to live. Go out there and do things without regret. There is no reason to be afraid of anything. If you could travel back through time, a few grades or to middle school, wouldn’t you have acted differently? Wouldn’t you have done the things you were afraid to do? That’s because fear only exists in the present. You can’t be afraid of things you’ve done in the past, and you really can’t be afraid of the future, because the future doesn’t even exist. It’s all a mental thing. You could die in the next 2 seconds and your future will cease to be.
So is there really anything to fear then? Is there really anything to regret? No my friends, there isn’t. That little devil inside of you will play with your mind and bring you closer to hell with each passing second. Don’t let him. Fill your years with things to let go of, and when the times comes, you will pass with eternal bliss. Some will still fear and question death, but their question will be answered in 50 years, 10 years, 2 years, or tomorrow. And the fear will pass.
Until next time, just remember, live for the moment.
