Is this a good way to gauge interest?

I've been using this method with the last couple girls I've been texting, and I guess I want some feedback on whether it's a good rule of thumb or just dumb? What I do is at night sometime I'll say something along the lines of that I need to go (go to bed, phone's dying, whatever) and then say "but shoot me a text tomorrow if ya want. Have a good night!" No text means low interest. What do you think? I'm assuming other people have done this before or is this a stupid way to gauge interest?

"but shoot me a text tomorrow if you want" sounds weak as hell. Why do you give a **** if she texts or not? You shouldn't.

It's best to cut out all the "if you wants", "maybes", "probablys" and just tell them what to do, lol. I've learned that women will follow whatever you ask (or even "tell") them to do. They're dying for men to actually take charge. In your situation, why not just say, "i'll text you tomorrow" and leave it at that..or at the very least, say "text me tomorrow" where you leave it up to her; 99% of the time they text. Saying all these "maybes" and "if you wants" just seems like you're hemming and hawing and just plain being indecisive.

They will do something only if they are interested in you. Therefore, your #1 means of detecting her interest is to ask her out and see how the date goes. That's it and that's all.
