"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Senior Prom is just over a month from now at my sxhool (June 16), and if I want to go, I'm going to need to ask a chick pretty quickly.

While I am looking for a chick to ask, one HB8 has been acting a little "weird" towards me lately. We've known each other a little bit over the past two years, but over the past week or two, it seems I know her much more now. I need a little help "reading between the lines" and seeing what her true intentions mey be:

- First, we're both competing for this scholarship. Once she became aware that I was going for this scholarship as well, she began joking to me about how she is going to win. I made some C+F comebacks and soon, this "joking" became a class event, as the entire class (we share one class together) now tunes in to see what will happen. Some of my more witty comebacks have resulted in some kino, which is good. It seems to be all good though, and we're both smiling as we do this.

- Every day now, atleast for the past week, she stares as me as we pass through the hall during a certain part of the day. The past few days, after she has her eyes fixated on me :D , she says hi. Today, as I'm walking past her with one of my friends, I can see her already looking at me as she's getting closer to me. As we're about to pass, I jump the gun a little and say "hey" because I was sure she would once again say hi. She ends up smiling, shaking her head, and passes (my friend is laughing at me at this point). I made sure to tell her when we had that class together how devastated I was that she didn't say hi (jokingly of course) ;) She'll pretend to ignore me sometimes as well (atleast today)...This could be a tactic on her part? I think it could be.

-She came out by my car b/c she had to drive to a track meet. I was hanging with my friends, some of which know her too. As she's leaving, I step in front of the car and she said she wants to run me over (pretty sure that was a joke). :nervous: I wait till her car creeps towards me and then pretend she hit my leg (I hit the car so it made a loud sond). It was funny though. I am pretty sure that she, for some reason, said she "liked" someone out of me and my three other friends though, which was kinda interesting (she wouldn't say who).

-I'm at the movies the other day with a different group of friends. We're talking about Prom dates and one of my friends out of nowhere says "HB8 doesn't have a date!" Maybe that's just a coincidence, but it was odd how he just says her name out of all people. No one (none of my friends) even knows I am considering asking her to Prom, so I was a little surprised.

Anything jump out at you here? I'm not 100% sure if she does or does not have a date. I just though this was interesting - I think she could be trying to use some games or tactics here perhaps. Any help here is appreciated.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Um, stop waitng for signals?

I think you omitted yourself thinking that possibility.

Oh yeah, your last point there... if anybody notices the first three points they know you two are flirting... Good luck in seeing the obvious and not chickening out the next time you see her:)

i think she doesnt have a date, go for it.
About that staring in the hall, classic mind game, just go pretend you didnt see her, then as you get closer, suddenly look deep into her eyes, smile, and slightly raise an eyebrow, and go past her.
Goodluck and i hope you get the scholarship, and you girl.

Thanks for the encouragement (same goes to ZeroTwoOneNine).

The one reason I wouldn't have asked her, if your reasoning is correct, is because I thought a girl has liked me in the past (all the signs were there), only to be turned down rather harshly. This has happened the lsat two times I've asked out a girl, so that's why I may appear to be hesitant.

Hopefully you're correct though

I am hoping to do this tomorrow, but I won't force it (like I won't draw attention in front of a big group of her friends). I want it low-key.

ANy more help is appreciated. I am confident that I can ask her for sure, since I've asked girls on dates/dances various times in the past - the only problem is I've never gotten a yes.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

You should've gone through the bootcamp as required;)

Just do it man, I know it sounds blunt, but it's true. Next time you see her, and everybody ain't cracking up with eachother... STOP her, and tell her you two are going to the prom, ask her if she has a problem with that...

"I've been thinking"You have"Me and you have been teasing eachother pretty hard"You have"So I've decided"

"What's that"Hands on hips, head c0cked, lips stickin out

"We're going to prom together, wear something nice"

That idea doesn't sound bad at all. I may re-word it a little bit when I ask her, but that "****y +funny" theme is something I like.

I was actually going to try doing it today, but my friends decided today was the day where they follow me around lol. They don't know about any of this (I didn't tell any of them), but it proved to be a little inconvenient today.

Also, it oddly seemed like one of my friends knew I was gonna ask her soon?? :nervous:

Next chance I get though, where my friends and her friends aren't nearby, it's go time!!

I said this already "your friends can tell" They know you are puzzy footing around the subject and they are giving you cubtle hints to JUST DO IT.

I'd say there is a 90% chance of her saying yes. Unless you are totally pissing your pants when you ask she isn't going to say no to you.

We're putting this to the test lol.

Tomorrow (hopefully) if I see her, I will ask her. Hopefully, your prediction is correct.

One of my friends (has a gf) knows her, and after I gave him the lowdown on the situation (I can trust him), he told me she said while she has no date yet, she may take the college freshman she went with last year (they're not going out). I think she has no date yet - maybe no one has asked her yet, and this college guy could possibly be a fall-back option - I hope. This also means I gotta get going and ask her. ;)

“The 22 Psychological Triggers That Make Women Chase You… Starting Tonight”

Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules.  Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.

Alright, here's what happened, as of so far:

GOOD NEWS: I asked her, using FLippinFreak's line.

BAD NEWS: I don't know if her answer meant a yes or a no. :trouble:

So, how is this possible? Let me explain - maybe you can figure it out:

I could not ask her to Prom in the class we had together (class is a zoo andher friends would have heard the whole thing), so I planned to ask her before her last class of the day (which I did). The period before, my friend (has a gf, and knows this HB8 I asked decently well) pass her in the hallway. He tries to slap her arm, and misses (I didn't know that). I figured some sort of kino-like move here would work. Unfortunately, I kinda punched her in hte arm very, very lightly (my friends and I do that when we pass each other in the hall - like a fist tap on hte shoulder-arm, and I think I was just used to the habit). She playfully said ow and walked past. My friend and I started laughing.

Now here comes the good part. I meet up with that friend again and we walked up to her class, and two of our other friends happen to be there too. When the HB8 comes, I pretend to get in a fighting stance and say something like "ok HB8, time for the right arm! (because I had lightly punched her left arm before). She laughed and tried to punch my arm. So, my friend says that she should meet us in the parking lot after school for a sec. Somehow, my friends (only one knew I was asking her) magically disappear, and she's asking me why she should come to hte parking lot (a few times). When I realized no one else was around, I used FlippinFreak's line:

ME - Hey HB8, you know we "fight" over that whole scholarship thing...
HER - Yeah (seemed anxious)
ME - so I have decided...
HER - Yeah (again, seemed anxious)
ME - We're going to Prom together. Wear something nice. ;)

Her reply to this, before I turned and left ( the bell was about to ring and I had to get a pass so I wouldn't be marked for being late lol) was that she said "oh ok (seemed to be said quick)", and smiled as she walked into her class.

So, WTF does this mean? I think I may have to somehow find a yes/no answer to this since I'm not really sure what that means. That friend and I are discussing how to solve this. He may just talk to her about college and her prom plans, and then I would ask what she said (but playfully). We'll see.

Any thoughts?

Comeback, it obivous she said yes, for 2 reasons. 1) She said ok which also means yes. 2) She smiled because she was happy about the event that just took place (you asking her out). Good job

I hope you are right lol.

However, when she smiled, it was AS she was walking into her class. Also, she said "oh, ok" almost as if in a joking tone, but that could be just her too. She wouldn't be joking by saying yes (if she really meant no), so that's why I was confused.

Any more help on her response is very appreciated...I'm confused. I know Donsing thinks she said yes, but I'm not quite 100% convinced yet.

:box: :box: :box: : :trouble: :trouble: :trouble: SHE HAS A DATE?? WTF??
:cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

Well, I'm not THAT frustrated, but she could have let me know earlier. SHe IM's me earlier this evening and explains that she has a date (some college kid...and he asked her a few weeks ago - before I even was thinking of ever asking this chick). Since she did it nicely, I decided to "politely" say it's no big deal, though I wanted to :box: lol.

Oh well - hopefully I can still find a date.
