Here's the test.

If a woman was arrested for "child endangerment, hit and run driving and driving on a suspended license." Would it be fair to include the status of her children's parentage and demanding to have her tubes tied as part of the proceedings? If the answer is no, then this is unfair treatment. After all, equality right?

Yes, it's wrong. It's the women who decide to get impregnated by a convicted felon that need to be sterilized.
