"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Helplessly in love

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I known this girl for 4-5 years now.
we been really good friends throughout the years. well lately i let her know i liked her more then as a friend. and she kinda backed off. 2 weeks later she lets me know she is interested in me too and has wanted me on and off through out the years, (and has show she has felt romance for me so i know in her there is a spark of life for a romance). well now shes back to acting as just friends and not sure what she wants. and I'm getting confused. i dont know what to do but i dont want to give up on her, and at same time i dont wanna make the friendship awkward??? not sure at all what to do?
i bought her a gift. around the short time we were both into each other. would it be a bad idea to still give the piece of jewelery i bought for her?

any advice u could give would help she means alot to me.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

looks to me that this guy has not had a single kiss or date in those 4-5 years, leading to an illogical obsession over a girl that hes never even kissed!!
