Internet addiction alters brain chemistry in young people, study finds

Researchers looked at 12 studies with 237 kids aged 10-19 and used brain scans to see the effects. They noticed that brain activity went up in some areas when resting and down in others used for thinking and decision-making. This leads to more addictive behavior and problems with mental health, development, and coordination.
