Improve Yourself: The Only Absolute is You
I have posted several times on this board, mainly coming off as a d1ck. Why? Because I did not get where you all were all coming from. I truly didn’t understand the confusion and frustration you all seem to feel towards women and your role in life.

A little background, which will, hopefully gives you both understanding and insight. I was a dork, I'll admit it. Perhaps it was less time then many of you and in a more subtle way, but it is true. Yeah, I played football from the time I was seven years old. Yes, there were articles written about me and my bravery starting from that same tender age. But, I wore bell-bottoms. Corduroy bell-bottoms to be exact. This was the 80’s. Needless to say, I was NOT in fashion. My mother dressed me and I was nowhere near “cool.”

Then, I changed elementary schools. I made friends, got into fights, and generally acted like any other boy. There was a girl I liked, named Alice. She liked me too. All her friends told me so. But, a funny thing happened. When I was nice to her, she was mean to me! I was utterly confused.

Eventually I started to ignore her. One day, I decided I was going to be “cool.” I went to the mall and bought some new threads (or rather, my mother bought them for me). I felt so good I stopped and looked at myself in every mirror I could find on the way from the department store to my car. Damn I felt hot!

The next day in school, guess what happened? Oh, you pessimists would love to believe everyone laughed at me and said “You are not cool, why are you dressing like you think you are?” Guess what? That did not happen. Everyone loved my new look. People said, and this is a direct quote, “I liked the old you, but I like the new you even better!”

The only thing holding you back is YOU!

Oh, and for those of you still wondering, deep down, I am the same; a dork. But, who isn’t? I wanted to link in some of Anti-Dump’s. Pook’s, and Deep Dish’s posts, but will save that for later. Once you are “The Man,” you will much better understand their advice. Just as a hint. Think of the most popular guy at your high school… Did he flirt? Did he kino? Maybe, but did he NEED to “create: interest? Hell, no. The interest was already there. He only needed to capitalize on it. That is where you want to be.
