Hey all! I was chatting to this random Lady on ICQ before and as i'd just been reading a bit on SS decided to run that 'Cube' game on her with the hope of getting a bit of a connection going (the conv was pretty stale up to this point) I didn't hold out much hope of it working, to be honest i thought she'd probably think i was a bit wierd but i did it anyway.

Heres what happened for anyone whos interested...... if you don't know what 'the Cube' is look here > http://www.pickupguide.com/classic/entrcube.htm

----------------------------------
Me: Do you want to play a mind game?

her:what kind?

me: one where i ask you questions and you answer them!

her: ok then

me: right. i'm going to paint a simple picture and i want you to imagine it, use a pen if it helps. I'll ask you to fil in some objects in the landscape later. Use your imagination to fill in any other details.

her: ok

me: right imagine a scene, the sky, the horizon, and the desert

her: ok

Me: In the desert, imagine a cube. What does it look like? What is it made of? Where is it located? What state is it in?

Her: Its a rubiks cube. its right in the middle of the picture.. and its normal rubiks cube size.. so quite small really

Me: Now imagine a ladder. What is it made of? How big is it? How many rungs? Where is it located in relation to the the cube?

her: the ladder is made of metal and is propped up towards the back of the picture... on the left hand side... leaning on a cactus
and its a small ladder .. only about 7 rungs

me: ok now imagine some flowers. How many are they? What kind? Where are they located in relation to the cube and the ladder?

Her: well first it was flowers dont really grow in the desert..(then she said),. well I love flowers so there would be heaps and all over the place.. but then its no longer a desert.

me: thats cool. and now imagine a horse. What kind of horse is it? What color? What size? What is it doing? Where in the scenery is it located, in relation to the earlier three things?"

Her:its a normal horse.. and I am riding it through the desert

me:how big and where. whats it doing..?

Her: its brown... and its a large horse.. its in the middle just stepping over the rubiks cube

Me: And finally, there's a storm in this landscape. Where is it in
relation to the other things inthe scenery? Which way is it
proceeding? What kind of storm is it?

Her: the storm is a sandstorm.. and its heading from right to left.. pretty major one .. its at the back of the picture.. moving away from me

Me:thats ok..

-----------------------------------

So then i interpreted it and added a bit of my own schpiel and was quite supprised by the response. see below........
-
-----------------------------------

Me: Ok, got something for you, try and keep an open mind as i'm only trying to interpret, let me know if i'm right or way off the mark. Most of this will make more sence to to you than me.
Right, the cube represents you, your self image. The cube is quite small which shows that your quite a modest person, not one of those loud 'in your face' types that we all know exist because they make such a point of letting us know!. You might feel ignored or insignificant sometimes, but the rubiks is a sign of complexity, so i'm thinking your one of those people that, as you get to know them, become more deep and intriuging. a bit like the layers of an onion.

Her: Hit the nail on the head with that bit!!!

ME: The ladder represents your social life, friends and the like. I think your probably have a small circle of friends but that the ones
you would class as friends are good ones, and you can rely on them. Few good friends but strong ones. You might feel a bit seperated from them at the moment though, something coming inbeween you at the moment either physically or mentally?

Her: Where are you getting all this from????

Flowers represent children in your life. It's pretty obvious you love children then, i'm guessing that if your havn't already got quite few then you would like them, at some point in your life, probably quite a few!? Either that or you work with or around children? (what IS your job?)

Her: The first 2 were spot on, but i'm not sure about this one. Yes i love children but i haven't got any and i think i'm probably too old for it.

Me: Well the flowers represent children or your desire for children and they are dominant in your lanscape. I'm guessing you'd love to have children, it's obvious you love them. Maybe you thoughts are dominated by children sometimes.

Her:Of course i'd love children, but i try not to let it get to me. Very strange.

me: Ok next bit fun

me: Right, the horse represents your thoughts about your lover, or the one your think you want or will have. The horse is quite big and dominating so am i right in saying your quite a passive lover? who prefers to let the man take control in most situations, you like to be protected, probably by a big strong man with bulging muscles and a slight tan (perfect description of me as it happens :) you want your lover to be very close to you emotionally and physically i think.

Her: thats amazing. Oh my god....

me: ok now the storm is about your ideas regarding trouble in your life. Bit of a hard one but i'd guess that you might be recovering from a recent event in your
life which has been giving you some trouble, either mentally or physically, but it's clearing and is fading away which is a good sign, you are probably good at realising things for what they are and excepting them. maybe you've been feeling a bit bogged down in the past but it's starting to ease up. Your storm
seems to have covered a wide area or your life so i might guess that it's was not just one specific thing but more like a general feeling or combination of things....?

Her: Well i am just recovering from something actually. A relationship breakup.

Me: Funny you should say that, I was going to mention something about a breakup with regards to the horse but didn't as it wasn't too clear.

Her. Wow.

--------------------------------------------------

After that she seemed much more curious about me, asking my real name, what i do etc etc. The connection definatley deepend and whats more i felt like a had a good picture of who she was.

Definatley gonna be trying this out in real life a bit and see how it goes.

Hope that was interesting for you!!

Any suggestions on the best way to practices this in a face to face situation, considering there are so many variables as far as interpretations go?
