I started balding at a fairly young age and started full blown shaving it when I was 28, before I just kept it buzzed. I definitely would be more attractive if I still had a decent hairline, but I've also been doing this for so long that it's become a part of my identity and I legitimately don't care anymore. With that said, I'm also well over 6' tall, muscular and athleltic/fit looking at a healthy body fat percentage and naturally have an attractive face. It's not a complete death sentence for someone like me, but I'm an outlier AND I still recognize that I would be considered better looking with hair.i don't mean to be disrespectful but this sounds like pure cope.
are you telling me if you could snap your fingers and have a full head of hair again, you wouldn't do it?
The reality is that the overwhelming majority of men who are bald or will do so CANNOT pull it off and they will take a massive hit to their overall attractiveness. When you consider that most men are not tall, not particularly attractive facially and are not muscular/fit and possibly even fat or obese it totally makes sense why balding freaks them out so much. A guy that is a 4/10 with hair is going to most likely look awful if bald.
I'd also add that the dating market and women's standards are astronomically higher now, so you need as much going for you as possible if you want to succeed with the women you are interested in. With this out of the way, I think age is a big part of this. If you are fairly young and still single, it makes sense, but some dude in his 50s or 60s I think it would be weird.
Me personally, I wouldn't feel the need to get a hair transplant, but if someone had the money and it would make them more confident in themselves I say go for it. It's a cosmetic procedure, but not the same as full blown plastic surgery. My only concern would be spending the money and then having it still look bad. I also would not take that hair loss medication, I'm aware of the side effects and would be concerned about potential health issues, which is more important to me than hair.
