Okay, today I am going to post about another guy rather than the guy I've posted about in my "Why do guys get so hot over cars? " and "He's playing rough with me." While I really do like that guy there is another guy that is around me on a daily basis and now I am confused about the feelings I have for my friend and the kind of guy I want.
I know it's taboo to even consider a coworker as a potential interest at least for you guys, however in my case I can't help it. The coworker is basically the kind of guy I think should be with. Where as with my guy friend we don't match up well together but have tons of fun.
I work in a law office. My coworker is a lawyer. He's thirty,cute intelligent knows the law inside and out and is very down to earth. Out of the 12 people in my office he and I just seem to click. He's balanced and doesn't let things affect him for too long especially negative stuff.
Allow me to illustrate by example.
Yesterday, Mr. Lawyer popped his head in my office and asked me for a flash light. I didn't immediately respond because I was finishing something up, but a few minutes later I made my way back to his office. He was no where to be found. So I go back to our back offices and he's sitting at the desk of another attorney and talking to our intern. Because I have no manners apparently and wasn't thinking I interrupted and asked him why he needed the flash light.
He responded well because there is a mouse in my office. I love watching his face because whenever he gets really excited about somthing he face turns animated and his pupils get big and he expands his mouth. By the tone of his voice I could tell that he was freaked out. So I said is that why you are back here and he's like well yeah, I don't want that thing crawling over my foot. His commentary plus the look on his face was enough to send me into a fit of laughter. He starts to grin and the intern starts laughing with me and he asks are you laughing at me. Me no way I am just laughing at the situation. I just can't imagine why you are scared of a little mouse. And then he was like yeah right at least she(the intern) is honest. So then I say no way is there a mouse in your office and I was all I am going to investigate. So imagine this I have interrupted a conversation where the intern is speaking to him about career advice and we go and start hunting a mouse.
How rude am I? Anyway so we get to his office and I start looking around his file cabinet and book shelf where he last saw it. He is right behind me and all of the sudden I see a small thing of fur flash by us from the file cabinet to the door. I being a walking contradiction scream and I feel Mr. Lawyer jump behind me. We recover and he was all you saw that right? Yes I did. So he's like we've got to do something fast. So I go in search of the mouse trap and he raids the refrigerator for peanut butter. We find the trap but no peanut butter. We give up and go home because we wasted the last hour of work on a mouse hunt. The next morning Mr. Lawyer comes in and asks if I have checked to see if the mouse was caught. I told him I was about to go back to his office in the dark so we go together and look and give up.
When our boss comes in I relay the story of how my coworker is scared of a mouse and boss tells us he has the mouse in the trash can. He brings it closer to me for a look and I jump back because the trash can is tilted. But wait its just a baby field mouse. It's cute and I feel sorry for it and try to feed it. I make a plan with another coworker to release it back into nature.
But not before I play a little prank on Mr. Lawyer. He leaves to go to lunch. While he's gone I grab the trash can holding the mouse and slip it under his desk and position his chair in front of it. He comes back and we talk about something and all of the sudden he after 30 minutes he appears at my desk. Dreamy what have you done? What are you talking about I say? Oh you know very well what I am talking about. You put that mouse in my office with me? What me not a chance. He grins. You know what this means Dreamy don't you? He laughs and smiles and looks at me straight in the eye What? Payback. * I am scared.*
We do things like this to each other all the time. It's like when we interact and are into teasing each other we sometimes forget that other people are around. He has a gf and I thought I got him in trouble with her. I found out that he likes to draw but hasn't had a chance to really draw in a long time. So I asked him to draw some friends of mine who were in a band playing the guitar. The next day he comes in and says Dreamy I almost got in trouble. Why? My gf asked me to draw something for her but I told her she had to wait because you had already asked me. A coworker over heard this and shook her head at me laughing. All I could say was oops.
What do yall think do we just get along really well or could there be something else there?
