How would you approach a girl in a packed tube?

By tube I mean the underground clearly, I was with a coworker this morning and we were going to meet a client in the city centre, the tube was packed about 70% which means the seats were all taken and there were 5 or 6 people standing for each wagon.

There were these two girls, I would say about 22-23 which were looking at us and one of them was kinda pretty so wouldnt mind to make an approach.
If we were in a club I would have go straight forward as usual but in such setting with masks and social distancing seemed like too strong especially cause there were others nearby almost at close distance.

Awfully we shared only 2 stops so didnt have the time to think about anything.

What would you have done in such situation given that you want to approach the girl, are not shy nor afraid of rejection? Keep in mind masks, social distance, her friend and people around.

Not Fair Game if she can't get away. If she is a regular, build rapport with eye contact and indirect conversation. over time and multiple trips. By the third meeting offer and ask a number.

I'd only make a direct approach if she showed Crystal Clear IOI's . Attractive women who aren't attracted really dislike guys who hit on them in a captive space like a subway. If she's interested she will make herself available to talk.

If you guys were separate by some distance, start looking up at the ads and start walking over towards her like you were interested in reading one of the ads. Then ask her for some kind of directions on how to get somewhere. Depending on how receptive she is at answering the question and helping you, you can determine if there is enough interests to move the conversation onto other topics. Like you can ask her what good coffee shops are around and such and go from there.

Probably the best way would be to compliment them on their clothes or something that you find interesting about them. For example, "that's a very colourful jumper" or "you look very Italian.". Then you can see their reaction and if they're interested in having a conversation. If they give you a sour face, then you can just laugh and forget about it. Other people that see you will assume you already know each other or that it was just a throwaway comment. If you're only going two stops, you should have a card ready to slip them before you get off because there's not time to get their number.
