how to use AFCism to your advantage

last night my wife made me watch Titanic. believe it or not i had never seen it. one of the things i had prided myself o never watching, that and lord of the rings. long as hell but not bad.

anyway, i knew i was going to have some type of ACF/DJ thoughts after the movie because of hte nature of the movie. AT first after watching it i was really suprised at kust how much of a chump that the guy was and how he gets the girl in the end and what not.

becuase it goes against what we believe in and against what girls actually like.


but then i reaized something. it's not AFCism that women hate. by AFCism i don't mean chumps i mean a defined set of behaviors that a man exhibts towards a woman. too much attention, always around, putting on a pedistool.

what it is that women hate is the consistant state of AFCism.


see, most guys see Titanic and think oh this is how you get the girl. sweep her off her feet, cherish her and she will love you. but, the guys' saving grace is that the ship sinks lol. In other words

AFCism is great to use in short spurts. But it cannot be your defacto method of acting with a woman.

he succeed in the movie beucase he had a very good look to him and he was charming. but if they did a titanic version where they live and end up being married and 10 years from now she would be miserable and pissed she left her rich husband.


women want to be charmed by men they are attracted to. That is the deadly combo right there. It's not being the jerk all the time and playing hard to get all the time, it's setting the frame, letting her se that you are a man of options and importance and that you take what you want and right when she thinks she has you figured out, just smother her with AFCism , sweep her off her feet, and right when she is charmed, go right back.

i've always done this very naturally beucase of the type of person i am. women often mistake my aloofness for non intrest when in rality i'm just busy. like with amber and i was runnign my company i would work 12 hours a day most times and i just didn't have alot of time but when we had time i would give her back massages and nibble all on her and tell her sexy i thougth she was and i meant all of that and then i would take my ass right back to work and she would just be dazed. at the time i had no idea what i was doing but it worked to prefection. i would go 3-4 days without talking to her, spin other plates, then pop up out of the blue with tickets to a play and take her out for a nice dinner afterwards, go back, have great sex, then when she calls me at work the next day trying to talk to me like we hit this whole other level in our relationship i would have my sec tell her im' too busy to talk to her and i usually was. i would spend the weekend with my boys gaming women and she would leave non stop messages on my phone then on sunday night i would po up and tell her i want to go see her mom with her and she would be all happy becuase i wanted to meet her parents lol.


but you just can't always be that guy. there has to be push/ pull. the way to a woman's heart is through her imagination and emotions.

the ONLY reason this guy is successful in this movie, is because of the time frame he had to work with.

Yes sir!! I agree with everything you just said! You have to have a soft side, but in spurts.. A time and place for everything as good old mom used to say. Keep em' guessing. I have the tendency like a lot of guys to try and use what movies has taught about woman want this, woman want that. Then I stay stuck in afc mode after doing everything right in the beginning. I am not a huge afc, I do not supplicate and put her on a pedestal, but I should be more of a challenge throughout. That is where my train comes off the track. But this is a huge reminder to me and other Djs. Do not go all out, or you will pay for doing so.

I had that movie on VHS back in the day, it was my go to deal closer. The funny thing, it was two VHS tapes and I didn't watch the second tape for about 2 years. *giggity!* When I finally did, I was like WTF? Freeze and drown for a chick I just met? Wow. No.

I hate that movie. Being made to watch a chic flick is probaly considered torture in some countries.

funny thing is, i've never seen the movie but i can play the theme song on the piano half drunk that was one of the songs my music teacher taught me when i started taking piano lessons as a teenager. so i will play it from time to time and girls wil lbe like oh i love that movie what about you and i'm like yeah i haven't seen it.

the mid to late 90's was freaking epic for movie theme songs. Forest Gump, Jurassic park, Schindler's list and titanic are all epic theme songs. i can play all those on expect jarassic park on the piano i can play that on the violin though as we played that in orchestra

I was just thinking about this. On the weekend, me and my gf went for a nice walk down by the river near my place. Yesterday, she was over and we made supper together. Tonight she phoned and I ignored it.

I feel kinda guilty about it. I love the girl like crazy, but I know if I smother her with it, she'll fvck off. I need to keep her on her toes if I want to keep her around.

And I fvcking hate that Celine Dion song. She should've stuck to singing in French.

I don't really remember any specific AFC moves Jack made, but yeah there wasn't any push-pull. But so what? Would you have felt better if he had thrown some negs in? I do agree that had they stayed together at some point Rose would probably be resenting him for not keeping her in the lavish lifestyle she grew up in.

Even though she was looking to escape that world at the time - too boring and proper. Rose was looking to rebel, and Jack was a handy means to an end.

I had been fascinated with the Titanic for a long time before that movie came out. When it was released, I heard James Cameron was putting a love story at the center of it. I thought "Oh brother, how corny" and thought it would detract from the disaster, but surprisingly, somehow it worked.

It is a love story so I didn't expect the realism. But yah, I woulda swam off and looked for safety elsewhere at the very least.

That disgusts me to think about how they treated the women as higher class citizens even though it meant their lives. Glad chivarly is almost gone.
