"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I found the easiest way to get the barmaid to talk to you... and when I
say easy, I mean easy...

I keep a diary, and as of late, I’ve made the habit of taking it with
me to a bar, sitting down, having a few drink, and just writing in it.
Some times, I write lyrics, some times I write about recent
developments in this or that relationship and in three out of four
joints where I have been, the barmaids actually initiated conversation
with me... more on this later...

DO NOT DO THIS ON A BUSY NIGHT OR AT A VERY BUSY BAR.

The only thing that you need to actually do is to be more interested
in the book than you are in her, and to order the same drink over and
over again. It tells her that:
A) She is less important to you than whatever the hell you are writing,
(I.e. Neg hit.)
B) That you actually have something to write about. (I.e. demonstration
of higher value.)

If you do have to look away from the journal, make sure that you look at a
screen, or some guy talking to another guy.

Make sure that you do not change your focus at the fist opportunity,
that is to say, do not rotate your body, or get off your stool at the
first opportunity. Keep your feet pointing at your book until you’re
sure that you’re in. I usually ask for her name and see if she asks for
mine, if she doesn’t then I’ll cut the convo, and turn back to my
diary.

------------

An hour ago, I went to a local place called scratch, I sat down, and
order a jack and coke, and opened my little black book and started
writing away. This piqued her curiosity, and I caught her staying in my
proximity... That is a good sign. Then, after I put of my cig. She
immediately cleaned my ashtray.

I am like okay. So as I am ordering my second drink, she says: « It is
so cool that you write sideways, I thought I was the only the only one
to do that. » My answer: « Yeah I know makes it easier to stay between
the lines. » then she tells me how it is hard to write on the black
board for her and I tell her that it is pretty special. She answers:
”We’re special.” and she runs away. Btw, whenever a woman refers to you
and her as we, you know you’re in.

I turn back to my book. And write until I finish my second drink as I
am getting up, she comes and asks me what I am writing and I tell her
my diary. She answers: « that is so Cute! » I smile, she goes, I’ve been
trying to keep a diary and she wants to write her dreams that are « so
real! » So I go what’s your name, she tells me her name and I shake
her hand and fluff her for 45 seconds and turn around to pick-up my
jacket. As I am about to leave the bar she asks me what’s my name... So
I tell her, she asks me where I am from, and I tell her and then I say
I’ll see you around -insert name here.

Now if I had wanted to number close, or email close if you prefer that,
all I would’ve had to say is, « listen I gotta run but I would like to
see you again when you’re not working » and would hand her then pen and
open the notebook.

This was a done deal the minute she initiated convo.

Field tested and returns 85%. Try it out. The worst that can happen is
that you’ll have a couple of drinks.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
