Regarding the connection between lifestyle and a man's SMV, there's a correlation.
While attractiveness matters, a lifestyle at level 5 or higher (especially 6, 7, and 8) might not automatically equate to higher value in the eyes of others. We're still social creatures, and even with financial resources, appearances matter, and lifestyle contributes to SMV. You know you're value reside in your innermost, but we also know book are judged by their covers. (social proof, preselection, etc)
Just to give an example, I know many men of great value, millionaires, with a lifestyle at levels 7 and 8, who are asocial and live privately.
However, they are often "invisible" to women due to a lack of attention to their image and presentation, even tho they have good social skills.
