"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I got invited to a party by a woman I only know very casually. She sent me an e-vite from her and her boyfriend. I couldn't figure it out. I only know her from work, and sure don't know any of her friends. The party was 45 minutes away.

The only thing I came up with was that one of her co-workers was interested in me. There were only 2 single women at her office so it had to be one of them, right? One's pretty hot, and one has "a nice personality," so the only way I would bother was if the hot one was behind this conspiracy.

My friend and I decide that if I ask the hostess who else from work is coming, the first name she mentions will be the one who's behind getting her to invite me. When I did, the only person she said was going was the broad I was slightly interested in hooking up with. I'll call her "R."

So I called R and asked if she was going. She said yes. She said her kids were staying with her ex husband. This was good, because it I could plan on getting back to her place after. She asked for my cell number so we could "coordinate." I got a sitter to watch MY kids and accepted the invite.

Two hours into the party, she texted me to say she couldn't get a sitter and wasn't going. I guess her ex didn't take the kids. I was glad she didn't go at that point. If the quick hookup was out of the question, the night wouldve been awkward.

I have not heard **** from her since. I don't know what to make of it. We're both single parents and workaholics. There's no way I'd seriously date this person. We have had conversations in the past that we're not interested in that ****, plus it would be a scandal at her office if we were openly dating, I can only assume that she'd use me for an occasional lay, which is exactly what I had in mind for her.

I think I'm just not gonna do anything else. I'm a bit pissed that I went all the way to that party for nothing. Not because of the kid thing, because she shouldve arranged something else to make up for me wasting my time.

Think it's worth doing anything?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

dam i am posting a lot today, guess i am bored :D

Fact:
The date was never set up anywhere but your assumptions on the situation.
This reads very wierd tbh and you know it.

there as been no mention she is intrested in you, you have just assumed this!
This in it-self is not the problem

The problem is you are now pissy over the fact she did not match those assumptions and in truth how could she, is she a mind reader?

I dont think so!

Look man why make this out to be something it clearly is not, i fail to understand!

Would it not be far easier to simply ask her, instead of playing mind games on yourself?

This women as done nothing this is simply your assumptions that have brought this on, nothing more and i find it very strange indeed.

Even the logical path you took to come to those conclusions are so full of holes it is hard to understand where your even coming from.

There is nothing here at all, you have done nothing to qualify a post on this women, let alone get upset.

Next time at least get upset on something tangible!

Ask her or not, playing self mind games is a very wierd frame to be in!

As you are seeing.

If you told her this or if she saw this post, i think she would imagine she would probably put an avoid sticker on.

If you want to progress this nothing then progress it, because atm it is simply assumptions based on very loose facts!

At the text phase if there was some indication you two where going to get it on the fair-do's but it could be a message between co-workers or anything not people that are going to hook up!

Next time find out the real reasons and not assume, then get upset when others cant read your mind eh!

What's the problem? You went to a party and met new people, right?

If you want to date this R, chat a bit and ask her out, just the two of you. Then you can complain if she flakes.

I don't think I'm presenting this right.I've seen her do this in the past and it's how she operates.

She's like a cat. Not the kind of cat who comes out purring to you. She's the kind of cat who hides in the shadows and comes out maybe once a year and you never know why. She is a little nuts.

The party was what I thought it was. If she read the post she'd know I was on to her.

She got spooked.

I met other people and had fun at the party. I was asking if people had ideas for a self-protecting timid little beast like this

There's no way either one of us could have an open, "dating" relationship because it would hurt our careers. Not n option.I can't say more.

I don't care that she flaked.

Just wonder if I missed something along the way.
