How often are you the AMOG?

I don't always care enough to do it, but if I do I won't do it to my friends.

NOTE: By AMOG, I'm specifically referring to a situation where someone is trying to game a girl and you're also gaming her yourself, making it harder for him to do so. There's a difference between being an alpha male and being the Alpha Male Other Guy, IMO.

I only do it when the group I'm with are having a problem making a decision. They're not usually arguing but just confused. That's only 20-25% of the time. That includes times when they appoint me the leader; everyone needs to pull their weight.

Thinking in terms of alpha "being done to/by me" comes out of an unrealistic belief of what constitutes a modern-day alpha male ( no offense, I am not trying to 'AMOG' anyone).

To me being 'alpha' isn't something you 'wouldn't do onto others', because being alpha means *giving* value to the group. Taking charge and making sure all have a good time, reading people and being inclusive, and so on. If one adopts a positive attitude and becomes a cool guy, he 'AMOG''s all the guys by a powerful presence. DO you think Dr. 90120 or some nerdy guy who decides to 'AMOG' him is more likely to go home with a hawtee?

OTOH, associating with 'cool guys' will make you seem cooler by association, and they will tend to rub off as David D claims because we tend to become more like those we spend time with.

if my friend is trying to game a girl and he got to her first, i'd talk to her a little but i wouldnt start trying to spit harder game than him or something.

with some of my friends we tell each other which girls are ours and the rest of us will lay off a little.
