i found a check dating 8/25/06, from Bank of America.. Can I still cash it?

If there's an expiration date it would say so on the check.

Here are the two options you have:

A) Sit on the check and never cash it, thinking of the money you could have had.

B) Deposit the check. After all, even if it bounces at least you tried - and it only cost you 5 minutes of your time.

If I were you, I'd go with option B.
