I saw this cartoon years ago when I was a child and of course I didn't have the ability to draw any deep conclusions from it. Then someone posted it on social media today and I was blown away.

Its even deeper than that guys.

Its the story of a guy who is following all the rules and being a good guy. But the woman he wants finds that too boring, so she rejects him to be with someone more fun and reckless. The guy improves himself to become more exciting. Once he has more to offer, suddenly the same woman who rejected him earlier wants him now.

I'm someone who only got a good job with good pay a year ago. Before that I was struggling. I'm happy that I can attract more women now, but if some woman from years ago who rejected me suddenly started showing interest because I got a good job, I would lose all respect for her immediately. Obvious gold digger. The last thing I would do is fall in love.
