I personally find Mike Maloney to be a gigantic scammer. He just so happens to be selling the gold and silver he is praising and has been saying for years and years and years that the fiat currency would collapse. Anybody who took his advice years ago will now find their savings or investments have utterly collapsed.

Physical gold as an investment should be bought like any other financial asset investment - target what percent of your investments that asset should be and dollar-cost-average into that percentage from low cost providers.
For me, it's 5% and my 'basis' is way below the current (collapsed) spot gold price.
