I am stuck, my memborship to the gym has expired and i have a choice between two gyms. Theres a small gym close to my house which I enjoyed going to because I was able to work out without any distractions, only problem is didnt have anyone dedicated to the gym going with me. The other gym is a bit further but it has EVERYTHING and I know lots of people who go there it is also open 24 hours while the other one is open till 11. They are both the same price, but with the winter season right around the corner, I was thinking that the closer one would be better.

Your thoughts?

how far is far? Personally I'd go with the better one if you'll make use of it.

I know I have 2 gyms on campus i can go to. One is closer but not as nice and the other farther but significantly nicer. However I Wouldnt go to the farther one very often and the one thats not as 'nice' has all I need, so while the other is nicer i really dont need that. I chose the closer one.

And how would you get to them. I dont have a car on campus so a 20 min bike ride or 45 min walk in january would suck, but if you have a car thats less of an issue.

the farther one is 15-20 blocks which would take me about 15-20 minutes walking. the closer one is 5 blocks. I have a car but it is so much trouble finding parking in that area, not to mention the 1 hour meters.

A workout is what you make of it. I've worked out by myself for 20 years. Just concentrate on your workout and your progress and forget about the people.

More people=more distractions.
