good gym openers?

I work at the gym at my college. All the sport chicks are always working out right by the desk and theyre always walking around. Does anyone have any good openers for this situation?

Situational openers are good for any...situation.

If she's wearing a t-shirt that says "Paris" then ask if she's been there.

If she's drinking an energy drink, ask, "How is that? I've been dying to try it."

Just use whatever she's wearing, eating, or doing as a conversation starter. It's a lot more natural that way.

Girls hate to be hit on at the gym. I'd advise against it. I'm not saying that it NEVER works, but most people in general go to the gym hoping to avoid conversation with strangers.

I'm with OFWHAP here. I go to the gym purely for working out. While I see some attractive girls at the gym, I focus on my weights, not openers. It's my only time of the day where I can really be "alone and in the zone," not concerned with any other obligations of the day.

Isn't this a little pessimistic? People are always busy these days, always on their i pods. I don't believe the gym is any more off limits than a shopping mall or any "day game" locale. Take a chance in any environment when an opportunity arises I say.

I agree with most people on it's not the best time but if you do at least try and be considerate enough to do it when A)looks like they're done B)taking a break.

I think nothing's worse than interrupting some one mid set or right before they're about to start. Seems pretty rude.

Think about it though they're prob getting hit on by so many guys some days at the gym, I think just coming off straight up genuine and not generic can help you build up rapports that you could later take advantage of and get ****y and funny.
