"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Ok, this has been happening to me for almost the past two years now. I know it's definitely a positive thing rather than a bad thing, but I'm wondering why.

Several times a day I will be walking down a hall or out a building or something and a girl walking by will always say, "I'm sorry," and make sure she is completely out of my way. It is almost always accompanied by a smile and eye contact.

It happened three times already today and it's only 5:30 here. Once leaving the library and once getting to my seat in class. I just got back from the gym and an athletic girl doing deadlifts next to me said, "I'm sorry," and looked at me and smiled; then made sure that she gave me adequate room to do my curls. She had no reason to apologize to me- I was just standing in one spot curling. Granted, a lot of people have good gym courtesy, but I'm just using this as an example. It happens very often in random places throughout the day.

Anyone else experience this?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

This is MUY BUENO. Yes, I've experienced this.

It means she is submitting to you. She is giving you a hint- she softly says, "I'm sorry" but if you read between the lines she is exclaiming "Put me in my place!"

She is showing you that she is down with traditional gender roles and she wants to be submissive to you. Saying "I'm sorry" is the girl version of hitting on you. She's flirting with you.

That is a very good sign.

Good responses would be:
-You should be! ;)
-You know, I was doing something here.
-Hey, what's your name? *stern look*

Bad responses would be:
-Oh no, you're OK
-You're fine.
-No, it's totally my fault.

I concur. "I'm sorry" ALWAYS indicates extreme interest. It's the ultimate verbal submission. You have to screw up pretty badly in order to mess up an interaction that a girl starts in this way.

Interestingly, I get lots of "I'm sorries" when I'm dressed up neatly, and none when I'm dressed down. Clothing does indeed make the man.
