"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

BackGround:

I met this girl last semester and we hit it off so well that I decided to get a class with her this semester to get to know her even better. The semester started out well, talking to each other in class and then walking together out of the building together.
I have this girl screennname on my buddylist and she is the one that usually intitate the conversation.

Problem:

This past couple weeks, i noticed that things seem weird. Like i will wait for her to finish her exam and then walk with her thru campus together, wait for her to get her stuff and etc. Now, when i come out late she goes ahead and not even wait for common courtsey like i do, whenever i see her on campus, she don't even acknlowgdge me anymore. She stopped IM'ing me whenever i log on. Now i'm STUCK seeing her everyday in class and we don't even talk no more. I do not have a clue to what the hell just happen this past couple weeks. Things were going so well until i started to notice this bad vibe. The question is how should i play this off?. Should i also not wait on her @ss, continue waiting for her when i get out of class, or just not care no more. And for the Instant message, should i completey block her off. Dammit i got to see her tomorrow too and the bit%h shield is so powerful with her that sometimes i think about just skipping the class. much help needed!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

How about....

Maybe she is just having a ruff week. I would ask her how she is doing, maybe see if there is something going on in her life that is stressful or sad. It's possible that she is dealing with something right now. I would initiate convo. Show her that you care, but don't seem like your obsessive or something. Just do what you would do when a best friend is acting weird.

Next time you see her, walk up to her, say "Hi, how are you", if the response is lukewarm, then just ask her "have I done something?" take it from there.

It all sounds stalkerish. Sorry, but does she know that you took the class just to get to know her better?

based on the information... she thinks your playing the "nice guy" routine

it seems that she thinks you like her, and is trying with all means to avoid contact w/you anyway that she can.

why does it matter to you if she ignores you if you have no feelings for her?

you guys may talk a lot and see each other in school, but it doesnt mean that she's put you in the friend category.
probably at least in the acquaintence category.
