Generally true. Dating apps are a very inefficient play even when they do manage to result in some sort of productive outcome. This is why it's common for men to buy the unlimited swipes package from Tinder/Bumble/Hinge if they want to do that play. Also, to ensure a productive outcome, a lot of men will drop their standards to get someone with a lower SMV. Alpha/sigma male realize this as 8+ SMV and will take 5-6 range women for shorter term arrangements. It's weaker beta males who dumpster dive and commit while using an app.

It's because most of the profiles are fakes. Nobody is paying to have a fake profile on Match but there are a ton of takes on the free sites.

In the past Match was the leader of fake profiles. Many court cases regarding this issue. I doubt much has changed, it's a shady business. Cheaper to have a staff of lawyers and go to court than miss out on the revenue benefits that fake profiles generate.

I know guys will argue that women in OLD are the same women you meet in person but I beg to differ
I know plenty of women who have never used OLD yes even in 2024 because they tend to meet men in person and it's easy for some women due to them having very active social lives.

When I think back to the best and worse girlfriends I notice all the women that had the most issues/drama etc tend to be women from OLD or the club lmfao

I think there is merit to this experience. Women go to swipe apps and nightlife venues when they are unable to meet men through real life methods or in their social media DMs.

I’d disagree here. I met some great women on OLD including two who became GFs. They made my life wonderful.
