"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Right, I posted on here a few days ago about whether I should contact this girl, she said she is busy this week, it didn't give me confidence but it did sound genuine

http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=201592

The advice I received was to contact her in a week and in the meantime go searching for other girls. The next day I chatted a couple of girls up one of which I got her number. We texted after meeting and she said she'd call me if she's free so I'm guessing that is a no or, as she says, I should wait. I'm also going to contact another girl that I had a date from pof last week, I don't think I really fancied this girl enough but I haven't had sex in about 6 months so maybe I shouldn't be so picky! I also went out last night on my own to a couple of bars but didn't last longer than 10 minutes in each as I felt out of place.

So my questions...

1. I'm getting super stressed and excited by these girls and the uncertainty it presents. I can't focus on much else and I'm even struggling sleeping and concentrating on my day job. My thoughts include the first girl who I'm still thinking of contacting (I did send a text, it felt right to keep in contact a little bit and she did respond). I feel a bit like a scared child. How do I deal with this?

2. I went out last night and all the guys in the clubs seemed younger (I'm 36), taller (I'm 5'7), cooler and more fun than me. The main problem I felt is that I was going in there cold and didn't have anyone to back me up. Again, what to do?

3. I've never done well in clubs and bars without a bunch of friends to back me up (which I don't have where I'm currently living), any advice on where to go for day game girls who are over 25 and single or links to help survive going out alone?

It's not all bad but this excitement and stress (I almost see them as one) is tough and feels self destructive.

Cheers

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

It will go away with time. Once you start getting girls it will go away. Why don't you find a wing? Perhaps someone here could suggest you a site where you can find a wing.

You did good though.

You just have to stop thinking so hard about this particular stuff, when to call them, what to do, what to say, and focus on your everyday life.
