"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

A couple weeks back, I hit the bar with some friends. We ran into a group of acquaintances, which included a HB 8.5 who I had never met. Things started off well enough, but then my game fell off the tracks. She began talking about her alma mater, and I asked if she knew one of my very good friends who had attended the same school. She made a sheepish smile and said, "I think he hates me. He's a nice enough guy, but we made mistakes."

Apparently, there was some incident about four years ago when they were at school. I presumed they had hooked up and she eventually turned him down (OH HOW WRONG I WAS - that story at the end of the post). Anyway, I launched into how that doesn't mean I would dislike her - she was very nice - and that their incident was so long ago that I doubt my friend hates her (I even texted him and was right). I had lost momentum, and the rest of my "game" that night wasn't as on point as usual. At the end of the night, we exchanged numbers, but was 99% sure I had received a fake.

-To my surprise, the number was real. I texted HB 8.5 a week later suggesting she and her friends could tag along when we go out, she said she was with some co-workers but would "definitely" be up for something the next time she's free.
-My off night might have been somewhat negated when we crossed paths at the gym a few days after the night at the bar (this was before I texted her). We didn't talk much because we were working out, but she and her friend seemed impressed with my physique (friend made a compliment, HB 8.5 smiled).
-Ran into HB 8.5 briefly yesterday. We had some small talk, where she, out of the blue. complimented my watch. And again, she was smiling.

This isn't a "does she like me?" post, however I am surprised that HB 8.5 is showing signs of interest even after my display at the bar. Has something like this ever happened to you - a poor approach but still nets a positive result?

Oh yeah, about my friend. When I saw him the next day and brought up the subject, he looked like he had seen a ghost. Was in disbelief that a girl from years ago and from the other side of the country would eventually move to our town. In college, my friend threw a party, which HB 8.5 attended. She was on the verge of breaking up with her bf at the time and was complaining about him. My friend called her a wh*re, which resulted in HB 8.5 throwing a liquor bottle at his face. He kicked her out of the party and that was that. Wild times.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

If she gave you a real number and has responded to your text, she is at least somewhat interested.

Set up a date because she (and you) won't wait around forever.

I think you are doubting yourself unnecessarily. Why would you think it went terrible if she clearly throws IOIs your way ? She thinks your hot and wants your d!ck. Proceed with great confidence and smash her in a timely manner.

You don't need textbook perfect game everytime you know. Even if you stumble along sometimes its still perfectly fine.

North America, probably an airport
Half or more of the stories typed on this board are guys thst think they are major players because they used 'game' to attract a woman. It's not hard to figure out that it had almost nothing to do with 'game' and everything to do with how the woman they were trying to get with saw something she wanted.

He may have remind her of a prior guy, mane liked the way he fumbled his lines and thought it was cute - yada, yada, yada.

You approached. That's the important thing. It's good to watch your interactions with women. So keep doing that. Just NEVER take yourself (or 'game') seriously.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Pfft, go out with them both and make them shake hands. But when she said *we both made mistakes* I would ask her to tell me exactly what the incident was, then compare her story to the relative truth (your friend) and make my conclusions about wheather shes trustworthy ;]

I think you may have gotten a little lucky

Not every chick you will meet will take a “no prisoners” approach to mistakes , nobody is perfect and often chicks are worrying about what you think of them as much as you are

I have made repeated (what you would call) minor “mistakes” with one particular HB in the past and yet everytime we see each other she gives me a clean slate

Why !?!.......... because she sees potential in me

These are what you call quality women

I think you're overthinking. The fact that she smiles and compliments your watch means nothing. Those are not IOIs.

She gave you her number? so what?

She says she's up to anything "next time she's free"...

I think she's not interested and she's just being friendly.

I wouldn't be surprised if you asked her out and she'd give you some lame excuse.
End of story.

If a girl finds you attractive, your game doesn't matter all that much (subject to you doing or saying something really stupid, of course).

On a side note, it sounds like your friend's assessment of HB8.5 is on point..
