"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Not quite a classic FR but everybody has to start somewhere.

I'm studying mechanical engineering in my 4th semester, which is an Internship of four months in a company. Last week, an english extern company came over to germany (where i am currently) to work on machine safety in the workshops. There was no translater available in the sort term so I had to jump in since I am a native english speaker (Not writer..). My role was to make communication easier between the British engineers and the workers who are mostly German or French (Close to the french border).

This was a great opportunity to pratice talking to strangers and approaching people (workers). I did my best to come over confident and friendly. For example, I had to approach the workers and translate questions the engineers needed answers to. This was rather tricky because the engineer designed changes on the machines to make them safer, which would often slightly hinder the old work processes. Some of them where friendly and undertstanding, some less.

In some ways this is comparable to approaching girls, some are nice, some are rude and reject you. However, I did not hesistate once before approaching one of the workers. But with girls it's as if my balls fell off sometimes...

Today, one of the engineers who was a complete stranger a week ago, gave me his buisness card and his private number telling me I should give him a call whenever I am in england visiting family or whatever (It turned out he lives near some of my relatives) so we could go for a couple of pints.

I would say it is safe to say that I left a good impression here.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
