FR: Cold Approached HB8 London

Alright so you UK guys say you can't cold approach UK girls I think you're full of it! I was at the beach just a minute ago and I see this HB8 come and of course I'm hoping she sits in my vantage point....well, she does, time for action :woo:

So as I'm getting up to leave I go up and cold approach her, went something like this:

Me: Excuse me, I don't mean to bother you , but are you from Virginia? (been meaning to try this line)

Her: No, I'm from London. I'm visiting family on holiday.

Me: Oh, do they live here?

Her: No, my parents are from South Africa actually. My brother lives here though. I'm just relaxing now.

Me: Well this is the place to be. Have fun.

Her: Ok, I'll have to visit Virginia sometime!

That's not exactly how it went, something like that, though. Very friendly London chick so I don't buy the UK girls are hard to approach argument. I have a couple questions though:

- How do you close a vacationer? She seemed interested, but I didn't really know where to go with the convo to close her.

Also give me feedback on my opener....just say "are you from ____"...think I found a good one

nothing wrong with that, you opened and she responded nicely.

I think you cut the convo short and didnt LISTEN to her properly, check it:

right there you cut the convo short. You could stretched the convo even further there by talking about what she told u, for example:


Brother, parents, south africa, relaxing,

"is your brother on vaction too, or does he work here or something"

"have you been to south africa too, how does it compare to here?

"so is it you and your parents on holiday together, is it fun hanging out with your parents "

etc etc, continue from her answers she give u.

just ask her how shes finding it over here, what she does blah blah, build general rapport.

LOL, some UK chicks are nasty experiences especially when they are drunk. Some arent.

erm im not so sure, you cud have got a hotel room number or find out wheres she staying and hooked something up.

Hey muttley...I talked a little more than that, I just can't remember what we said...I posted most of the info I got but it was from a few questions and chit chat. I hear ya though...I could have said more, but I didn't know where to go with it. I probably could have got her contact info, but it didn't feel like I had enough rapport so it would have been awkward.
