I've finally moved home permanently and man, the day to day grind is just boring as hell. Safe city, Safe job, boring life. I've settled into a trade job here but I just can't stand the silence. I started talking to some people and they suggested looking up companies that have projects in the Arctic Circle. Anywhere they are hiring HVAC / Electrical Techs / Truck Drivers / Heavy Equipment Operator would be up my alley.
I'm just wondering if you guys knew of any jobs that were really out there, I'm willing to do anything, work at heights or under pressure, I guess I need that fix. I figured anywhere in the extreme cold weather would be fun or in the middle of the ocean. My wife will follow me anywhere on Earth so that's not really a problem.
So far I've found NDE Irata Rope Access, or repelling off the side of an oil rig. Looks like fun.
Running the Ice Roads up north a bit.
Driving highway trains in Oz.
Repairing A/C at CFS Alert.
Working out of a Mine.
Repairing stuff on the Large Hadron Collider ( would love to do this ).
Does anyone know of any jobs/companies who have projects in extreme conditions?
