The visuals, effects & storyline of this remake are so much better than the first film, but the Lynch version cast, acting, set designs and soundtrack are far superior. It flopped and was panned back in the 80's, but even with the liberties Lynch took & the hokey 80's effects, it grew on me over the years like many, hence it's cult status.

This new Dune has all the great reviews but it's just not that impressive to me, maybe cause the leads (Chalamet & Zendaya) are so boring and have no chemistry.

I tried watching the first Chalamet movie and found it boring. Not sure if I will watch the new one
