"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I can't condone what Josh Duggar did.
Seems like you are trying your hardest to make it out to be no big deal.

I think we can all agree to some extent that "playing doctor" and sexual curiousity is natural to some degree. Like so many things, the question is where do you draw the line. Stagger seems to think the line is when you turn 16. Reading this thread, apparently many think it's okay if you're seven. Duggar was 14, and Rex at least was ready to beat him up and hand him over to the government.

I'm just not so sure that at age 14, a kid should be expected to have the wisdom and self control of Solomon. In my mind, a 14 year old is a minor. Again, in Duggar's case, I agree he went too far. But I read one incident was with his sister of 12.
Lame excuses you are making here. You believe that 14 year olds can do whatever they want because you claim they have no self control?

Just hypothetically, would you be willing to disown your son if he was 14 and his sister was 12? What if they both said it was consentual experimenting? Of course the older one would be more responsible, but at 14, wholly responsible?

I'm just curious as to where y'all think the lines should be drawn.

Would you be cool with your oldest son performing sexual acts on your younger daughters for years? It would not bother you what he was doing to hurt them? You would play it off like "eh no big deal"?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
