Does anyone here actually get paid to take surveys???

I keep seeing these websites offering to pay people to take surveys. Is this a scam or is it legitimate because I wouldn't mind getting paid a little extra cash to answer a few questions.

Well I have a few friends in college this year that got paid $50 to take an alcohol survey. Funny thing is they were all underage.

I signed up for a few of those sites...Some of them you dont get paid, but you get chances to win prizes and money...Some of them you get paid but it isnt much, like between $1-$20, but as I go on I might get paid more...Then some are like the free Ipod thing, where they offer a $500-$1500 gift certificate to Best Buy or any other store, but you have to complete offers just like the free Ipod thing, but youre the only one doing it instead of getting a certain number of people to do it...I got so many surveys to do I cant keep track of them...
