my theory: She was beginning to perceive that she was about the hit the Wall (which granted is still a great place to be, unlike the wall for most women ), probably by noticing a weight gain, and thus decided to get married; but then she was able to tone down, and thus the impetus for her to marry had gone away, and hence also her desire to get married.
