Yes. These types always put self first, they are there to take, even if it's only your ambition and energy. So many of them are in this mindset especially very attractive ones.

There is a reason women have always been manipulative.

It's because originally they (like every other animal) could ONLY have sex when they were in heat. As they evolved they may have eventually had the ability to mate any time, but they never wanted to give up the power they had when they could only have sex sometimes. So they essentially fake the heat cycle now (playing hard to get).

They are testing you, this is how women separate the strong from the weak. If they can control and destroy you, they know you are not strong enough and they must keep looking.

You're looking at it as them being evil and manipulative, when it is just biological filtering at its most basic level. Be strong and independent and they will notice and love you for it, then they know they can give themselves to you without you turning into a beta puppy loser.

No. I am more accepting of their natural instincts and no longer will try to make sense of it. Men and women are different, I accept that.
