I live in UK and our healthcare is NHS. It’s good for when things go wrong but you get no check ups, scans or blood tests routinely. They kind of wait for things to go wrong and patch you up.
So, my Asian wife thinks this is insane and they often pay for a test. Issue is here, a full check up privately is £1500 and up. That’s riddiculous as an annual cost. Even my private medical insurance doesn’t cover this, it just mean I get seen a bit quicker if I am ill.
I know there are a lot of online blood tests you can buy but I’m not sure what would be considered a reasonable amount of detail.
Anyone suggest for the health conscious what would be a reasonable series of tests to buy annually or do any of you have a routine check up? If so, what do they do? MRI? What blood tests?
Thanks
