"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Alright guys, so the other day I went into a clothing store because I needed some decent boots to see me through winter. I found a pair I loved, and asked a ridiculously cute sales assistant for my correct sizing etc. So whilst she helped me out, we got talking, got on great and we have a lot of things in common. Before I knew it, we were at the tills with a huge queue of people behind me and the manager pressuring the girl to speed things up. I know this is a crap excuse, but I totally missed out on getting her number because I didn't want her getting in trouble with both her manager and the impatient customers behind me.

So my question is: where do I go from here? I fully intend on getting her number, but it seems a bit lame to show up the shop a few days later to specifically see her. And I'm not going for the whole "my shoes don't fit" approach because, well... they do fit. Perhaps I'm just over thinking it... Any suggestions?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I've been here many times. Kind of a ṣhitty situation actually. There is nothing else you can do but walk in, say you love the boots, and ask for the number. The outcome is unimportant. Doesn't matter if she has a husband and 5 kids, at least you'll know, and at least you'll have the satisfaction that you went for what you wanted.

What's the worse thing that can happen? You never go in there again, big deal.

Good luck.

Dude go back to the store and see if you see her working. Go up to her and tell her you love the boots she helped you pick out and ask her if she's single and if so for her number.

Don't worry about all the negative BS that dudes may say she won't give you her number.

I work part time in women's shoes in a high end dept store as a second for the hell of it job. There are numerous dudes who work there that get numbers, date, and have fvcked customers and co-workers. Hell at 43 I've gotten several chicks numbers who are and were customers who've kept coming back ASKING for me to help them. I've gotten co-workers numbers from 20 and up. (Doesn't mean they all want to date me but..what have you got to lose?)

Just go in there and ask if she's single and for her number to go out sometime. It's really not that difficult as dudes on here make it out to be. Especially if she seemed into you. Good luck!

lol true story. this was back when i was single.. this was a long time ago.. what 21 years old just turned

i collect colonge. so every week i would go into this dillards and there was this older woman who worked there who was kinda attractive i mean she wasn't smoking hot but she was very pretty. and she would know i woudl come and she would hsave **** picked out for me or what not that she knew i would like becuase of my tastes.

anyway, to make a long story short, she let it be known after a month or so that she just got a divorce. then she started making comments about how it's hard being lonley at her age and **** and i think nothing of it i think she's making small talk. so the next week i come in there and she's like hey i got this new fragrance for you i'm going to give it to you for free since you buy so much ****, but it's in my car so you have to come with me to go get it i had to sneak it out. i'm like cool, again, not really thinking. anyway we get to the car, she pulls me in, starts kissing me and blows me on the spot. **** was awesome. then she came over later that night and i went black ops on that ass.

the moral of the story is, make the salesgirl say no. make her say no dont' assume she is being friendly.

Dude, if what your saying is correct, she really enjoys your company, so I really don't see any problem walking back there and asking her for her number... just try to do it when that manager ain't around. :)

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Personally, I don't place don't place any stock in women who get paid to be nice to me. ie: flirt in order to close the sale.
I've been brushed twice by cute sales girls who I thought were giving me huge IOIs. I asked them out on the spot and they both said they had boyfriends.
Now whenever a sales chick starts complimenting me, I just brazenly flirt with them, almost like a creep. That usually gets them to STFU.
Although backbreaker's story is frickin awesome!

Oh goody, another "how do I ask a girl out when she's working" thread.
My thread title was pretty clear, you didn't have to click on it... Also, take note of my post count. I don't come on here much.

I did consider that possibility Greasy Pig, definitely. It's happened to me before and I've even done the same myself back when I worked in retail. Something about this girl was different though- her style immediately resonated with me, and her interests seemed incredibly niche, so I wasn't suspicious of her intentions. Incidentally, I did go back into the store and I used a direct approach- success, I have her number! Thanks for the replies, guys. :)
