"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

No, Jophil, the lawyers don't feed on your misery, any more than a doctor feeds on a cancer patients suffering.

And LadiesMan, if you think that the universe or God works in a mysterious way, such that you can get back with your twice divorced infertile ex wife and raise a kid from your second divorce marriage with her, you are beyond help.
huh? ..wha?

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Most people who get married likely don't plan on it failing. And all people have faults -- being a good parent or being a good partner in a relationship doesn't require perfection from anything.

Give this guy a bit of a break. He's clearly working hard to forge a positive life for his child, and its clear that having this child in his life brings him intense reward and greater lust for life itself.

We ought to be very wise about whom we decide to have a child with. Because in doing so we attach ourselves to them. But we also should be aware that even a marriage under the best intentions, with a child under the best intentions, cannot predict all of the dynamics of life and the self.

TheLadiesMan -- You obviously love your son very much and are working hard to give him a good life.

peace.

Thank you.

Those women in the system who gave you a hard time probably thought that you were trying to increase your parenting time to reduce your child support payments. Rightly or wrongly.

I suppose the next phase of this journey of self discovery will be when you disapprove of your 2nd ex wife's new boyfriend/husband and his treatment of your kid, or you find your long term parental duties become a bit of a dull burden.

I'm not sure how much of this hits close to YOUR home, but in all honesty, if you had went through what you described, I think I'd be a little cynical too.
I'm not sure if you have any kids of your own, but I would have to say you probably don't have any.

The bottom line is this... and it applies to so many levels of life, whether it's women, or kids, or money, etc.....nothing you want in life that is worth a damn, is going to be a walk in the park, nothing. *shrugs*
It doesn't take away the love, or the happiness, or anything that you've worked hard for it. In fact, the interests grows stronger, the bond is increased the more you have to work for it. Like I've said, when the burden seems too much, all I have to do is look at my son's face and the fight goes on, it's just that simple. That' just me though, I can't speak for anyone else.
YOU chose how to live your life... one path leads to another, and another and if you act on .02 common sense, you should be fine.
You should never live in fear of life's dirests. Chit happens sometimes.
